Vehicle Detail

FOR SALE: 1992 NISSAN 240SX COUPE IN NEED OF REBUILD/RESTORATION. Please see pictures, read description and video below BEFORE emailing questions. Local sale didn't go through, guy kept making promises he couldn't keep. Serious buyers please.>.< WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CAR: CAR NEEDS HEADGASKET/ENGINE WORK. AUTOMATIC (boo!). HEADLIGHTS NO LONGER GO DOWN (relay?) ROUGH/BAD EXTERIOR/INTERIOR. POWER STEERING LEAK. CAR DOES RUNS AND DRIVES; you cannot jump in and daily drive it yet- IT NEEDS ENGINE WORK. WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO THE CAR: Typical maintenance (brakes, tune up, oil change, radiator flush) no mods were done other than a cone air filter. All brakes were changed; you will be good for a while. Replaced the old banged up fender with a replacement (view pictures). Radiator, clutch fan and water pump were replaced before head gasket failed. New engine belts. The intake bleed screw was already broken off when I bought it. Replaced busted tail light. Replaced door panels and front seats. New wipers. New rear deck speakers, none in doors. Replaced front seats and door panels, console and little odds and ends. Replaced center console. New battery posts. Comes with various 240 parts and items I accumulated over time (extra MAF, relays, electric fan, ownership book and a repair manual). ENGINE CONDITION: Runs but steam exits from tail pipes and bubbles in reservoir if car is ran too long. Oil and water IS mixing (see video below) as there is a low bearing noise. It has the KA24DE (DOHC) engine. If unsure what is head gasket problems are, please research online; you cannot drive the car far it will overheat. Bare in mind the engine WILL need to be repaired/replaced or rebuilt! TRANSMISSION CONDITION: Shifts fine for a automatic; needs fluid. Was planning to convert it over to 5 speed, bills killed it. EXTERIOR CONDITION: Body paint faded in common s13 areas, gray passenger fender, little dents (view pictures) dings, little scratches, hubcaps ok, head lights no longer go down though light up (relay?). Tire tread is fair. Bad tint job from previous owner. Turn signals work, one of the bulbs is blown (clicks fast). Brake lights work. INTERIOR CONDITION: Car has manual locks, manual windows, no cruise control (base model; no electronic stuff to worry about!), seats in poor condition but no unsightly holes, *one* thin long crack on dash. Carpet is in horrid condition, all seats in need of cleaning. Door panels were replaced. Horn works. All dash gauges/lights work. No radio. Has battery which barely hold a charge, you will need to buy a new one asap (there goes your core charge for a new one!). Has aftermarket car alarm (?) installed by previous owner, a kill switch apparently, whenever the battery is installed or cables reattached the 'alarm' will make the lights flash and prevents the car from being started. I will show you where the kill switch is. AC still works and blows cold. No heat, only because the thermostat was removed (new one in box in trunk). Heat will work again if you reinstall thermostat. Automatic seat belts still work though sometimes the driver side acts up. THOUGH THIS *IS* A RUNNING CAR, I PREFER YOU HAVE IT TOWED.*YOU* MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS TO TRANSPORT IT.. Price starts at $500 only because its a rough estimate of money I put into the car through the year or so I owned it; as it was bought as a project and I paid a little more for it. I am starting off the price for less than what I paid for it ($900). Even then it was overheating; I was just glad to have a coupe S13! See tons of hatchbacks, not too often do you see coupes! Now I can't do a thing with the car since my work hours were cut back. NO LOW BALLERS (asking for less). > I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION AT ANY TIME < $200 REQUIRED WITHIN 48HRS OF AUCTION CLOSE, PAY REMAINING BALANCE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END OR WHEN YOU PICK UP THE VEHICLE. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. CLEAR TITLE. CAR IS SOLD AS IS AND IS WITHOUT WARRANTY; PAYMENT NON REFUNDABLE. Watch simple video walk around here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_IwI1qAY0Y Thank you for looking and PLEASE give the car a GOOD home. Its really a great car; hate to see it go!
