This Firebird had a complete sub-frame off professional build to be better then new. Have you ever been to the large National car shows and watched the Classic Muscle cars take the track, or watch Vintage SCCA Trans-Am Racing; this car was BUILT for this and then the ability to take her right out on the HWY and enjoy the ride...the best of both worlds. Solid body, with a Clean Muscle Car look but ready to hit the track if desired. Nothing was spared during the build, the front sub-frame was blasted and powder-coated and even aluminum body pucks were used as the body pucks. The engine was stroked to a High Reving 461 and has a professionaly built has a MUNCIE M22 Rockcrusher 4-Speed manual Transmission, all New Custom Suspension with Trac Bars, Sub-Frame Bars, KYB Shocks and more. To Lighten the car; a Cowl Fiber Glass Hood was used and even a Aluminum Custom Drive Shaft. Braking performance is outstanding with SSBC Front duel pistons callippers, Stainless Steel Brake lines and Vented Rotors. When the interior was completed details mattered; all new sound deadener was installed with a new Firewall pad. For functionality; the Factory Tachometer was even converted to work with the HEI and functions properly. This is NOT a regular restored car, or a car that most people restore and upgrade a few parts. This is a professionaly built Firebird using all new and the best parts to complete. Scorpion 1.5 Ratio roller rockers, MSD Distributor, High flow water pump, Griffin aluminum radiator, Flex-a-lite Black Magic electric cooling fan, Performance Products damper, mini-starter, solid engine mounts. GM Performance Parts Cast Pontiac valve covers. DRIVE TRAIN: AGE “Super” MUNCIE M22 Rockcrusher “Wide ratio” 4-Speed from Midwest Munices. Masario gearset ratios are 2.52-1.88-1.46-1.00. 3.00” aluminum driveshaft, SPEC stage 3 clutch, new clutch/brake pedal assembly. New clutch pushrod and Z-bar. Polygraphite transmission mount and an Indy Shifter. Axle tubes have been welded to axle housing and then powder coated. New bearings and seals, Moser forged c-clip axles, Detroit Trutrac differential. New Motive Gear 3.73 Ring and pinion gear. LPW Racing girdle. FUEL SYSTEM: All new 3/8” fuel lines, new gas tank, straps, and sending unit with filter. Carter 120 GPH mechanical fuel pump. Holley Polished Quick Fuel 750cfm DP chokeless carb. EXHAUST: Doug’s Headers Ceramic coated long tube with 1-3/4” primaries. 2.5” tubing with X-Pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. WHEELS + TIRES: Weld Prostar 15”x8” wheels with front 245 and rear 275 Cooper Cobra tires. Tires are new. BRAKE SYSTEM: All brakes lines are new, also 3 piece Stainless Steel brake hoses. SSBC dual piston front calipers, cross drilled rotors , new 11” power brake booster and brake reservoir, new rear brake drums/shoes, and new SS parking brake cables. SUSPENSION: Powder coated upper and lower control arms with new inner shafts. PST Polygraphite suspension and complete bushing kit. KYB gas-a-just shocks. New front coils and rear leaf springs. 1-1/4” sway bar. New tie rods, center link and idler arm. CalTrac traction bars. CHASSIS: Sub frame has been powder coated. Solid SS body mount bushings. NO RESERVE: Video Below and 77 Pics. 1971 Pontiac Firebird Custom Pro-Touring. This Firebird had a complete sub-frame off professional build to be better then new. Have you ever been to the large National car shows and watched the Classic Muscle cars take the track, or watch Vintage SCCA Trans-Am Racing; this car was BUILT for this and then the ability to take her right out on the HWY and enjoy the ride...the best of both worlds. Solid body, with a Clean Muscle Car look but ready to hit the track if desired. Nothing was spared during the build, the front sub-frame was blasted and powder-coated and even aluminum body pucks were used as the body pucks. The engine was stroked to a High Reving 461 and has a professionaly built has a MUNCIE M22 Rockcrusher 4-Speed manual Transmission, all New Custom Suspension with Trac Bars, Sub-Frame Bars, KYB Shocks and more. To Lighten the car; a Cowl Fiber Glass Hood was used and even a Aluminum Custom Drive Shaft. Braking performance is outstanding with SSBC Front duel pistons callippers, Stainless Steel Brake lines and Vented Rotors. When the interior was completed details mattered; all new sound deadener was installed with a new Firewall pad. For functionality; the Factory Tachometer was even converted to work with the HEI and functions properly. This is NOT a regular restored car, or a car that most people restore and upgrade a few parts. This is a professionaly built Firebird using all new and the best parts to complete. 3.00” aluminum driveshaft, SPEC stage 3 clutch, new clutch/brake pedal assembly. New clutch pushrod and Z-bar. Polygraphite transmission mount and an Indy Shifter.
Axle tubes have been welded to axle housing and then powder coated. New bearings and seals, Moser forged c-clip axles, Detroit Trutrac differential. New Motive Gear 3.73 Ring and pinion gear. LPW Racing girdle.
FUEL SYSTEM:
All new 3/8” fuel lines, new gas tank, straps, and sending unit with filter. Carter 120 GPH mechanical fuel pump. Holley Polished Quick Fuel 750cfm DP chokeless carb.
EXHAUST:
Doug’s Headers Ceramic coated long tube with 1-3/4” primaries. 2.5” tubing with X-Pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers.
WHEELS + TIRES:
Weld Prostar 15”x8” wheels with front 245 and rear 275 Cooper Cobra tires. Tires are new.
BRAKE SYSTEM:
All brakes lines are new, also 3 piece Stainless Steel brake hoses. SSBC dual piston front calipers, cross drilled rotors , new 11” power brake booster and brake reservoir, new rear brake drums/shoes, and new SS parking brake cables.
SUSPENSION:
Powder coated upper and lower control arms with new inner shafts. PST Polygraphite suspension and complete bushing kit. KYB gas-a-just shocks. New front coils and rear leaf springs. 1-1/4” sway bar. New tie rods, center link and idler arm. CalTrac traction bars.
CHASSIS:
Sub frame has been powder coated. Solid SS body mount bushings. Powder coated transmission cross member. Rear frame rails are solid. Subframe connectors have been installed.
STEREO:
Apline CDA-9856 CD player. Infinity Kappa 4”x6” speakers installed in kick panels behind the grills. Infinity Kappa 3-way 6”x9” speakers installed in rear window sill.
