Vehicle Detail
1999 VW Volkswagen Jetta TDI Diesel Grease Car Up for sale is my Mark 3 (old body style) TDI Veggie Car. The car runs very well, has started good all winter, and has just had the timing belt changed less than a month ago (180,000 mi.). The oil gets changed regularly. The car just passed a NYS inspected on March 28, 2011. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears. All of the windows and doors work. The body has a few small blemishes which I tried to portray in the pictures. There has been some body work done on it as well over the years. For the most part the body is pretty good but it is a 12 year old car from New York so it is far from perfect. The tires on it are in very good shape. As for the veggie kit, I have owned this car and been running it on SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) now for around 4 years. It is a great runner that gets close to 50 mpg on straight diesel or if you have access to a good source of waste vegetable oil you can save yourself even more money. It has a 2 tank system that is control by the flip of a switch on the dash. Basically you can run the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes on regular diesel and run the rest of your trip with the free vegetable oil. This car has saved me a lot of money over the past few years and can do the same for someone else. The only reason I am selling it is because I also have a 2002 Jetta that is also converted to run on waste vegetable oil. With 3 kids and our minivan being used most of the time by my wife there is no longer a need for the second veggie car so I have decided to let it go. I am selling the car with no reserve and I am more than willing to show the car prior to the auction ending. Please do not bid if you are not sure you want the car or if you are not sure you can come up with the money to pay for it. I do require a $300 down payment via PayPal from the winning bidder to help prevent bidders from not following through with their purchase. I have tried to represent the car the best that I could but I strongly suggest any interested bidders to ask any questions you may have and take the time to come and see the car if possible. I would like this transaction to go as smooth as possible and for both parties to be pleased with the end result. I thank you for your interest in my car and I wish you luck bidding.
