Vehicle Detail
2005 Triumph Daytona 650 bike of the year, Super-fast, stable, and nimble. 8746 miles. Ultra rare sportbike in excellent mechanical condition with normal wear cosmetically. Second owner, always kept in a heated garage. Slightly modified but mostly stock. New OEM chain and sproket. OEM Pirelli Diablo tires front and back with 100 miles on them. Dual headlight mod (both headlights always on) Removed kick stand sensor. 2011 Daytona 675 turn signals front and back. Custom fender eliminator. K&N air filter. Well maintained. Annual dealer pre-season service. Annual oil changes regardless of mileage with recommended Mobil 1 Race 4T 10W40. Semi-annual strip, detail, and bolt re-torque. Some slight damage on the left side from previous owner dropping it off a truck ramp. Damaged pieces include superficial scratching on the alternator engine cover and mirror housing, a mended and repainted left lower bellypan fairing, and minor paint chipping on the left leading edge of the front fairing (estimated cost of repair from the shop that did the bellypan, $100). I never replaced the damaged pieces because they're nearly unnoticable. However, I did resurface and paint the alternator cover which is now NOT noticable without examination or the right lighting. Price of full painted OEM replacement parts for a like new condition $439 bikebandit.com (OEM part retailer for Triumph motorcycles) and priced accordingly. Triumph Service Manual included in the sale. Sold As-Is with no warranty expressed or implied. A full effort has been made to describe the working and cosmetic condition of the motorcycle. Any questions or concerns must be expressed prior to sale. The motorcycle is available for mechanical inspection at the request of the buyer with serious intent to purchase and is available within the confines of my work schedule. Any mechanical inspection shall be made at the expense of the buyer. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Additional and specific photos are available upon request. On Mar-31-11 at 17:53:06 PDT, seller added the following information: EDIT: Triumph information as I understand it. The Daytona 650 is rare for a couple of reasons. It was only produced for a partial year in 2005 since the 2006 Daytona 675 began production in 2005. Also, in 2005 Triumph only produced 31600 motorcycles of which only 2-3000 were Daytonas and it's estimated that only a few hundred made it to the United States, of which no one knows how many are left. I've owned this motorcycle for several years and have yet to see one on the street. My local dealer stated that they've never seen one. So when purchasing this rare bird you can expect to be one of the very few to own one.
