Vehicle Detail

I am the orginal owner of this black/black 1992 Corvette. It broke down a few days ago right as I was pulling it into the garage. Given the cars age, we decided to go out and buy a new car. I don't have time to fix it, and I prefer to sell it as is to give somene the opportunity to get the car at a discount and fix it themselves. I have no idea what is wrong with it, but I can tell you it was dumping gas into the exhaust, and backfired when we tried to start it. It could be something as simple as replacing the coil, a bad plug wire, or it could be the optispark, or perhaps an injector stuck open. I don't know. The car is 19 years old, and the intererior and exterior are in great shape given the age. The car has been garage kept all of its life and parked in a parking garage when driven to work. Oil/filter has been changed by me religously every 2000 - 2500k miles with Mobil 1 5W/30 Synthetic. The last oil change was last week. The transmission fluid was changed by the dealer every 30k miles. New parts for the car within the past 20k miles inlclude: Water pump, optispark distributor, fuel pump, bilstein shocks, Goodyear Eagle GS3s. Tires were just rotated and balance by Goodyear. As stated earlier, the exterior paint shines like new, but has a few very, very minor sratches. The leather has 19 years of use, but otherwise is in perfect shape. Things that are broken: The car won't start or idles rough, the driver door lock has to be locked manually, weatherstriping needs replacement, center console does not open all the way, needs break job soon (only 3mm left on pads), transmission fuel change in 1k miles. It leaks oil, but not enough to show and difference on the dip stick after 6 months. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will respond as soon as I can. Again, this is a great car for it's age.On Mar-31-11 at 08:08:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I am the orginal owner of this black/black 1992 Corvette.
