Vehicle Detail

This listing is one of two trucks I am having to sell for a down payment for our new house, closing next month. This is a 2001 Chevrolet 3500 Silverado 4WD regular cab with the Duramax diesel and LS trim package. The truck had 36K miles on it when I purchased it five years ago. It just turned 80K miles, less than 9K miles per year on average. Over the last five years, I have spent over $15K in upgrades and accessories. To attain the desired look, the stock hood was replaced with a steel 2 1/2" cowl hood from Harwood and the exterior emblems were removed. All rough textured plastic trim pieces including the door and tailgate handle bezels, rearview mirrors, front wheel well opening mouldings, front bumper cap, and taillight bezels were filled and sanded. These pieces and the entire truck were then professionally sprayed the factory code black to show quality. To finish the look, $5K was spent on a set of 19.5" "Don Duallys" by "Driv" and new Goodyears, along with a set of triple chrome plated stainless Westin nerf bars. . On the mechanical side, two new 1000 cca Delco Professional batteries, a Volant intake and filter, and a full stainless Magnaflow exhaust system were installed. A custom five position rotary selector (stock, economy, tow, performance, smoke) was fitted and laptop-tuned by PowerMax Performance. In addition to the factory Class III hitch, a B&W Turnover ball gooseneck hitch and Drawtite brake controller were added. The stereo was upgraded using all Sony, Kenwood, and Infinity components. The truck is factory equipped with air, tilt, cruise, power windows, locks, cloth seats with fold down console, and rubber floor. It does and has always had a bedliner but no rear sliding window. I personally have serviced this truck at every 5K mile odometer increment with Mobil 1 Delvac synthetic only. In the "economy" setting, depending on speed and highway type, it will easily get 20-25 mpg. . There are only a few noticeable imperfections or wear items to mention. The tires have about 30K miles and are at about 60% tread. The wheels, despite the $3500 price tag and never driven in the winter, disappointedly began to pit shortly after installation. ( The original steel wheels, caps, and bands with new Uniroyals are also available). A two inch long section of the plastic chrome plating on the grille is starting to peel just in front of the right fender. And, as expected, a few small nicks and scratches since its completion three years and 30K miles ago. . This truck has always been garage kept and winter stored. It is very strong, exceptionally clean, and continually complemented. If you are looking for a great looking truck to tow your race car, boat, or motor home, or just a sharp one-of-a-kind sport truck, this is it! I apologize for the lengthy description, but just wanted to try to cover everything. If I failed to mention anything of importance, or you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to call. My name is Greg Miller and I can be reached at 724-601-4894. Thank you. Just one more quick note. I can have this truck in Charlotte, N.C. on April 8th or 9th for pickup at the Auto Fair or deliver to any point between Pittsburgh and Charlotte on those dates. Thanks.
