1980 Suzuki GS

For sale by private owner, a 1980 Suzuki GS 550L motorcycle with only 9,491 original miles. I am the second owner of this bike. I purchased it from the original owner in May of 1981 with only 760 miles. This bike has never been in a crash, and is in excellent condition for its age. The bike has always been stored out of the weather. Bike has crash bars with highway pegs and a sissy bar. Tires were replaced once, and they have very good tread left. Brand new battery and two helmets included. New vacuum petcock, new plugs, new fuel and air filters, recent oil and oil filter change. Carbs were professionally rebuilt about 3 seasons ago, but I beleive they need cleaning again, as the bike was not running correctly when started last season due to sitting with stale gas and general lack of use. Some TLC by a knowledgable person will get this bike back on the road. Bike is "as is" with no warranty or guarantees. I will not pay shipping or delivery costs, nor make those arrangements. You will not find too many 31 year old GS bikes in as good a condition as this bike! An excellent start for the mechanic, GS enthusiast, or restorer.
