Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a CALIFORNIA 1978 VW-Convertible. ENGINE & TRANNY: Turns on everytime without a problem. Runs great and shifts smoothly. Can easily cruise freeway at 75mph, no problem. It is fuel injected. Passed smogged with no problems a little over three months ago. That means it will have to be resmogged but should easily pass. The odometer does not work and reads 78xxx something miles but it is not accurate. The speedometer and other gauges work just fine. TOP: The top was recently replaced. No tears or holes, nothing like that. Closes easily and aligned with inner locks. EXTERIOR: The doors close properly and do not sag. Paint is pretty good but not a show car either. Can easily polish and still get some shine to it. There is a small blemish by the rear driver quarter panel. The passenger side floorpan appears to have been replaced at one point. The driver's side has rust on the back side. It should be fine but maybe at one point in it's life should be repaired or replaced. Other than that, no other rust that i've notice. DRIVING: How does it drive? It drives great...kindoff. It hauls A$$!!! No stalling or nothing like that. Shifts smoothly with no grinding or anything like that with the tranny. Once you hit about 65mph it shakes/shimmys a little. However, once you pass about 70mph the shaking just stops and car runs great (shakes only between 65-70mph). I just had all the tires balanced and found out that one of the tires is mismatched and the other is kinda bumpy. Tire guy told me it would be a good idea to replace the tires and this should take care of the shaking. Due to finances and relocation, unable to do it at this time. INTERIOR: All complete and no tears, except a small piece that came unsewed at the drivers head rest. Besides that, all working including radio w/datachable faceplate. Even the dome light by rear view mirror works. WHY SELL IT: If it's such a great car, why are you selling it? I'm being forced to relocate from San Diego to Los Angeles and can't take it with me!!! So, here it is...your opportunity to get a good car for a really good prize because I have a really low reserve prize. I've tried to describe the car as best as I could and was as honest as I possibly could. But, if you still have questions just email me throught EBAY for your security and mine. Please make sure you ask your wife first and check your finances before we waist each other's time...THESE ARE THE ONLY PICTURES AVAILABLE, PLEASE DON'T ASK ME TO SEND YOU MORE since I’m in LA and bug in San Diego (El Cajon, 92021). FYI: THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IT IS, WHERE IT IS!!! ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO WARRANTIES GIVEN OR IMPLIED. EVEN THOUGH I'VE DESCRIBED THE CAR AS BEST AS I POSSIBLY COULD, I HIGHLY-HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT EITHER YOU, OR A THIRD PARTY DO A PERSONAL INSPECTION OF VEHICLE. A NON-REFUNDABLE $500 US DOLLAR VIA PAYPAL DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS END OF AUCTION. REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 72 HOURS END OF AUCTION. VEHICLE NOR TITLE TO BE RELEASED UNTIL ALL FUNDS CLEARED. PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK PRIOR TO BIDDING AS MENTIONED BEFORE, ALL SALES FINALS AND NO REFUNDS!!!!
