Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE !! NO RESERVE !! only 18,258 ORIGINAL MILES!! Original Owner! ONE OWNER - 1988 Porsche Turbo Cabriolet 930 (Model 911) Rare RSR Styled Body "MUST HAVE": Limited Slip High Impact Differential *(see below for details)* Front RSR Dam with Testarossa Type Functional Rear Rotor Dams with Gills (Bear Claws). FACT: You will not find another pampered Porsche 930 Turbo, Cabrio with low miles. This is truly a "one of a kind" for Porsche enthusiasts!! Unlike so many: this has not ever been hammered down the strip, rallied or bounced on the oval track. This was "my baby" and only taken on occasional Sunday afternoon drives. Here's What She's All About... * Vehicle is from a smoke free home. * No UV damage due to constant pristine enclosed garage protection and pampering. * Paint is like liquid glass. I've included a photo of the only noteworthy paint blemish (gas cap door). * Car has never been exposed to coast line environment (we live in central FL). * Car has not been in inclement weather at all. * Original top & rear window in exceptionally good condition due to TLC (see photos: looks new). * Interior in exceptional condition evidencing no signs of wear. No tears or abrasions, etc. * Carpet all original showing no signs of wear, no stains. * No cracks in dash or steering wheel. Original Owner's Manual included. * All knobs, switches, levers, handles, buttons are in place and function. * Jack and Spare Tire have never been used and look as they did the day of taking delivery. * Engine Bay is clean enough to eat your lunch over the inner cooler. * RSR Front Air Dam with high output oil cooler fan & cooling vents (amazingly effective). * RSR Rear Fender Testarossa Type functional air dam, stablizing vehicle & providing negative lift & downward pressure. Engineered in tandem with rear Tea Tray to magnify ground hugging experience. When accelerating, the entire vehicle "squats" with a mean attitude telling you: "It's all about business"! This lowered center of gravity is exhilerating & highly effective. * Limited Slip Differential (high impact) for magnified traction & torque in the power transfer ...Please read full description of this advantage as contained below. * Security System (functioning). * Power seats & windows (all functioning). * Original stereo & speakers (functioning but needs updating). * A/C (functioning but needs seasonal charge). Some History about the car: Due to a minor serendipitous traffic mishap (shortly after purchase): The car was placed in the skillful care of Nationally recognized Exotic Concepts of Orlando, FL. This gave me an excuse to go all out and do a "one-off" ilk of artistic recreation. It was like giving my car to a "Chip Foose" type person. To put the WOW factor into the car, Exotic Concepts placed it on a Rotisserie and gave me a finished product better than factory. If you removed the engine, you would witness a shine & finish that is show quality. Here's the great part... A representative from Zeuffenhausen, Germany did an on site evaluation of the vehicle and gave it the Porsche of Germany certified verification. Still today as then, you will behold a flawless finish & design. Just look at the photos...it looks liquid. This car's documented thrust angle is an unbelievable 0.00 degree amount. Very rarely is this the case with a vanilla, non "one-off" vehicle. RECAP 1988 930 Turbo Cabriolet MSRP...........................................................................................$85,560. I am the one & only true owner of this car: 1) I first leased it (technically owned by Porsche Financial Services). 2) I bought it out of the lease at the end of the 5th year (titled to me). 3) Many years later, I had it retitled solely in my name, subsequent to a divorce settlement. The two most common questions asked are: 1) Why selling? 3 girls in college/wedding on the horizon, otherwise, you couldn't pry this car from my "cold dead hands"! 2) Are there any problems with the car? Unless it is brand new, there's always little things asking for a tweek or two. A) Two of the tonneau cover snaps need to be replaced (cheap & easy fix). B) I've only ever listened to the radio a handful of times. Speakers sound tinny and cassette is outdated (it's original). C) I replaced shifting lever bushings at cockpit--fix didn't quite freshen linkage. Mechanic suggested changing bushings at rear--I had intended to do it this summer (...an easy, reasonable fix). D) I'm on the 4th set of hood & trunk gas shocks--not expensive & should probably be replaced about every 5 yrs. E) I am selling this beauty as-is. This car is tremedously sound! F) This 930 speaks for itself. It's worth every penny over $50,000 and a bag of chips!!! ***This is all she needs*** As a side note: We had to re-list this car after our first attempt was sabotaged by a dishonest bogus bidder, who bid up to and beyond our (then) reserve price of $48,000, with a bid of $49,500. 12 hours later, he decided to claim a "wrong amount entered", and withdrew his bid, leaving many bidders & watchers confused. It took the steam & momentum out of the auction, bidding fell flat and ultimately, the success of the auction was extracted. Ebay is presently taking steps to prevent such occurances from ruining the bidding process which we have all come to trust & enjoy. Therefore: this time, we decided to throw caution to the wind and like a bride tossing her bouquet up in the air...may the best man (or lady) WIN!!! FOR THE MOTOR HEADS---let me go back and address the Limited "Slip" Differential's importance in a 930 turbo. All other differentials (referred to as open diff) are "un-limited" slip differentials. They slip and they slip without limits. The slippage IS NOT REFERRING to the spinning of the tires. The "slippage" is referring to the slipping going on inside the differential. When your Porsche hits a slippery patch of pavement, or one of the wheels (usually the outside) lifts off the surface (due to hard cornering): no torque is needed to spin the outside or slipping wheel. And since an open diff ALWAYS sends the same amount of torque to both output shafts: almost no torque is now applied to both output shafts. This leaves you in a dead zone and with a car effectively LOSING power. Once you use a limited slip diff in a 930, you will never want to be without one again! This car acts like it has 2 more cylinders. It has power constantly and everytime you go around a curve. At high speeds, THE SLIPPAGE REQUIREMENTS of an open diff can slow a car down considerably. The power LOSS can be dramatic. The magnified traction increases speed & performance in an exponential type of fashion compared to a regular 930 with an open diff. We have decided to list this car in an auction style with no reserve to cut out the game players & tire kickers. Please only genuine inquiries and if you are dead serious about owning this car, let it be reflected in your bid! Note: A non-refundale deposit of $1,000.00 is required within 48 hours after auction ends and full payment is required within 3 days of auction end by wire transfer or cash, unless otherwise prearranged with seller's approval. Please contact me shortly after auction ends to dicuss all details of deposit & final payment. Words & pictures do this car no justice. Once you see her, you will be hooked and it will be love at first sight! Once again, good luck & happy bidding!!
