Vehicle Detail
1972 Cadillac Eldorado convertible up for auction. NO RESERVE, bid early and often, top bidder gets her! 84k original miles, 500 8.2 Liter V8. The 1972 Eldo has the pre-emissions high compression 500 V8, lots of power and acceleration for such a big car. New exhaust system from y-pipe back in December 2009, done right with Walker muffler and resonator. Front end in good shape, axle boots not ripped, no play in steering wheel or wandering on the highway. I did new front brake pads and brake lines done when I got her last spring, Caddy has a nice firm brake pedal. Power windows work, back windows need help going up. Interior is decent, leather has no rips, carpet not ripped but could use a good cleaning. Power seat works in all directions and the heat works; air conditioning compressor turns on but does not blow cold. Caddy could use a new paint job. Quarters were patched with sheet metal, trunk floor is good, still open at the inside bottom of rear quarter panels, currently covered inside trunk with mats and carpet. Floors and frame in solid condition, never patched. Will need a new convertible top and a new convertible motor, top can be put up and down manually, I can cover the the top for transport. The chrome and stainless trim are in nice condition. Original 8-track radio does not work, I can include a working cassette radio which will fit the dash if requested. Cruises nicely on the highway, holds the road perfectly. Engine starts easily, doesn't leak anything, garage floor always dry when I pull her out. Runs very strong, tracks straight as an arrow and brakes evenly, no pulling or fading. She idles well, shifts smoothly, stops easily and the suspension is luxurious. Drives overall like a Caddy should. She's roadworthy, all directional/brake/turn signal/headlights work, even fender light indicators. Bought to fix up because she's basically so solid but now I don't have the time and money, same old story. VIN is 6L6S2Q438029. Will include 20 Inch Chrome wheels with Falken tires I bought for the Eldo for an additional $600, paid over $1600 for set. Pic of wheels at bottom- hard to find aftermarket wheels that fit his old girl! Nice candidate for restoration or drive as is, I always get smiles and "thumbs up" when I take her out. Nice classic Caddy which will only appreciate in value! Any questions feel free to call or email. 914-224-3230 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, convertable, caddilac, eldo rado, caddy
