Up for sale is my 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 with a production date of Feb. 1980. I have too many toys and to little room so the warden (aka the wife) says some have got to go. This FJ is in fantastic shape and has minimal modifications that can easily be reverted to go for a full restoration. This FJ is used primarily on the weekends as an around the town cruiser and has never been taken off road by me, and could be a reliable daily driver for someone starting today. I just had the plates renewed in the past 2 months and passed the emissions test here in Denver with flying colors. I had the FJ looked at by a local Land Cruiser shop here in Denver in the last year and they said it was "mechanically sound", and in fact better than most of the 40's they see come through their shop. There are no visible rust spots or holes of any kind, and did my due diligence when trying to find and purchase an FJ that met my standards when I bought this one. I purchased this FJ from a retired gentleman here in the Denver area a few years ago and he had had it for sometime as well so as far as I know it has been in the dry Colorado air for at least 20 years or so. Everything on this Cruiser works as it should. All serial numbers match from under the hood, inside the door and on the frame itself. Original 2F 6cyl. motor with 96,600 miles that runs strong with no issues. I believe this to be original miles and not to have rolled over. Original carburetor and not a aftermarket Weber. All original emission equipment and recently passed with out issue as mentioned above. 4 Wheel drive that is in full working order. Heater works great and has rear heat as well. Center console is a locking "Tuffy Box" with CD player and 2 speakers in the back (original stereo is in the dash just not connected as well as the original speaker in the glove box!) Have rear jump seats and hardware just are not installed, Tuffy speaker boxes mounted in there current place. Tires are BFG All-Terrain T/A KO's 33x12.50x15 on steel rims. Tires are in great shape overall and the spare has never hit the pavement. This 40 does not have AC or power steering. The bad (which is not bad at all) Drivers side mirror has a cracked housing, mirror itself is fine and is more cosmetic than anything. I planned on replacing it or getting 2 new mirrors but never got around to it as it is totally functional. New mirrors range in price but start at about $25 and go up from there. Washer fluid bottle has a crack in it, the crack is about half way up the bottle so it still holds fluid and works fine. Again still being functional it was not an issue for me. These can be purchased for about $30 online.If you are not a serious buyer with your finances already in order or if you have not asked permission from your boss (wife,husband,etc.) please do not bid and waste your and my time. This Land Cruiser FJ40 is being sold as is and does not come with any warranty or guarantees of any kind. Payment- $1000 deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end, and additional full balance payment is due within 7 business days. Shipping/Pickup- Buyer will be responsible for organizing and paying for shipping cost to the location of their choice. I will be more than happy to assist on my end once everything has been arrange and paid for. Also if you choose to come to Colorado for pickup and drive the FJ to its new home (which would be no issue for this Land Cruiser) I will pick you up at the airport.
