1985 CHEVY SILVERADO K-5 BLAZER Up for sale is my 1985 Chevy Silverado K-5 Blazer with a 6.2 liter diesel engine . It has the Silverado package that comes with power steering, power brakes, tilt, electric windows and door locks. It has a really good sounding Kenwood AM/FM CD stereo that can be hooked up to an amplifier. All of the wires are there if you choose to. The blazer has chrome front and rear bumpers, push bar, mirrors, and a (steele horse brand light bar). A real nice wilderness rack brand cargo carrier is mounted on top. This is great for carrying any type of cargo you have. Four nice (Hella brand off road lights are mounted to the light bar and rack). I unhooked the off road lights to remove the light bar and rack at one time and never hooked them back up, but all of the wires and switches are there to do so. Step bars and a rough country brand 5 inch lift kit with rough country shocks and steering stabilizer support the suspension. The blazer sits on 4 good 32 x 11.5 0R 15 LT mud and snow tires and nice aluminum wheels. The tires are about 80% and still has lots of miles left in them. Very good paint and very little rust where these Blazer's normally rust. Black stepbars on each side, 4-wheel drive transfer case and locking hubs work perfect. New dual exhaust from engine to rear and a new 85-700 transmission and converter were installed at 172,000 miles. I drove it back and forth to work all winter 60-mile round trip with no problems, even on mornings when the temperature was 17 degrees, just hit the glow plugs once and starts right up. It does pretty good on fuel mileage and goes a long way on a tank of fuel. Good heater and defroster, has A/C, but has to be charged every year. Has a tow package on the rear with extra transmission and oil coolers, also has a receiver on the front to back a trailer or boat or hook up your winch if you choose. (Note no winch comes with this truck). The interior is in very good condition with red soft bucket seats, glass is all good. There is a tear in the back seat from something being put on it. It has the real nice backside sliding glass with wing windows for passengers. There are really no bad spots except for the normal everyday scuffs or scrapes for a 1985 model. You can tag it as an antique if you like. The 6.2 liter diesel starts and runs excellent and uses no oil. I just serviced everything from front to rear, engine oil just changed with Mobile Full Synthetic. Both front and rear differentials and transfer cases were serviced and drive lines have greasable U joints. If you are looking for a good hunting, fishing, farm, or just daily driver check this out. THE BAD: There is a small drip on the power steering line. It leaks every now and then. The passenger side electric window and dash lights work when they want too and the tailgate window motor is starting to get weak. If you have not secured the funds to purchase this vehicle please do not bother bidding. I do not wish to trade anything. This vehicle is sold as, where is with no existing or transferrable warranty.
