This bike sold new for over $18,000 and has most of the neat options. I purchased this motorcycle from a gentleman in Phonix, AZ last year, we rode the bike to California visiting San Diego, San Francisco and on through the wine valleys of Napa, Sonoma, and Temecula Valleys. From there through Yosemite Park and on home to Iowa with the only problem was needing a new rear tire put on by Gina's BMW of Iowa City. To say in short, the bike runs great. The reason I'm selling it is that I have purchased another BMW 1100 RT older slower version (just like me). Yes the bike has high miles, but as you can guess they are highway miles. The rear end was rebuilt by the previous owner. He told me that the rear end was the weak link on this model, but it is near new now, only 5000 miles ago. Now for the options: Heated grips and seats, adjustable clutch and brake levers, three height position seat, Cruize Control, On Board Computer with average miles per hour, average miles per gallon as you ride, outside temperature and miles you can travel with the amout of fuel left in the tank. There are two trip meters and an electrical adjustable windshield height. It also has an adjustable rear suspension. All of the leading edges of the fairing, the fairing knee area and top of the tank have a protective vinyl covering (keeps the paint like new). Tires are Metzeler Roadtec Z6 an excellant tire in my opinion (rear tire has less than 500 miles on it). The pictures I took lack a little clearity. The left side valve cover has a few rock chips, the right side valve cover has a few rock chips but neither are noticeable unless you get down on your knees. There is a slight blemish on the right bag and on the luggage rack (please see pictures). This bike has cruize which I needed to use many times or pay a speeding ticket (it's very powerful). It performs like BMW advertises and more. This bike will make someone very happy. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
