Vehicle Detail
Camper Van with the RARE Riviera pop top. Goes straight up for more head and sleeping/breathing area. Also has child sleeping pad (not shown) which inserts across width of top area. Has a lower fold down couch bed and upper sleeping pad in pop top. ORIGINAL gas stove, electric refrigerator, and sink/faucet. All parts are there and should work, but I have not had the time to verify. The five gallon water supply container for the sink stored under it (faucet works as a pressure build pump). The wood top which has the sink and stove built in is in need of replacement. A handy person can do it al in about two hours. Just remove sink/stove cut wood to pattern of old board. I would use marine grade wood. The support part of this unit/cabinate is still good. Also has bug screen and other accessories for back hatch opening. Both crank out windows work and have no cracks. All cabinates are decent and one has four functional drawers with a side storage access at the bottom. More storage is under the seat and in the passenger side cabinates. The original carpet(?) is still holding in place and wearing well. The pop top canvas is almost new and the window zippers work. Pop top is easy up and down. All interior camping lights work (four built-ins). Does have an awning which needs an insert retainer slide re-sewn on it to make it functional. A step plate that mounts under the sliding door needs to be straightened. A machine or iron shop can do this. I took it off for that reason. Runs very well. The air conditioning system is all there, including compressor which seems to be engaging when turned on. I didn't want to mess with it until it is thoroughly checked by an A/C tech. A/C is probably a rarity in theses early "more modern" units. This has power brakes and work good. All lights and horn work. Just had all new rear axle bearings and boots installed. Front suspension feels secure. Very minimal rust. Floors are good thoughout, some small spots at driver dogleg and inner joining areas. Spot over jack point, over right rear wheel, spots at rear hatch window and starting spots in back rain gutter (no holes through). Sliding door is rust free. Will need tires. Please ask questions. All glass is excellent other than windshield which has small amount of fogging at low-out of vision area. Windshield also has two BB spots out of the way and not spreading. Dash materials/plastic is clean and solid. Vents/roll-up windows work smooth. On Mar-21-11 at 06:35:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Included: original owners manual, warraty & maintenance book, lots of receipts, galley hand pump instructions, Safari range instruction, dual voltage refrigerator owner's guide, Sportmobile operating instructions/materials care/travel check list; repair travel manual. On Mar-21-11 at 09:54:33 PDT, seller added the following information: REPAIR HISTORY WITH RECEIPTS (MANY RECEIPTS LOST): Includes receipts for 1987 to 1992 from one of the previous owners. In1999 : flywheel seal; clutch/throwout bearing/pilot shaft bearing/etc; an engine gasket; clutch cable; intake sleeves; adjust? Most recent by owner I purchased it from, Months-03, 04, 05 of 2009: oil change, check fan and replace fan belt; check EGR system & reset, rear brakes, replace front end damper, drag link, lube front ends, replace alternator. 02/2011 inner/outer axle bearings & boots as previously mentioned. I have not checked th battery yet: it does not voltage drain when sitting without running the engine for long periods of time.
