Quite a few pictures of this car! Just scroll down! 1995 Nissan 240SX - Perfect rust free car for a drift project or even as a daily driver... Hello eBayers, I know there is a lot of writing and info here, but please take the time to read it. I have always given an in-depth description of the cars I sell on eBay. I find that buyer appreciate this. If there is something I haven't covered, please let me know and contact me. I am moving out of the country, and I am listing it as an absolute auction, no reserve. This car has a blue book value of $4,100 to $5,600. I have done the absolute auctions in the past, and I find that the law of supply and demand takes over and USUALLY the right price is met. I sincerely hope it will be in this case, because I am moving and regrettably, must sell this beauty. You could walk away a buyer who just "stole" a 240SX, but nevertheless you will certainly be a happy owner, and come to find that the description matches the vehicle. Ok then, you are bidding on my project car that I cannot finish because my move, although very cool and a great surprise, came rather suddenly. I just sold my 280se Mercedes, my 1977 Datsun 280z and a 1985 Mercedes 300CD on eBay, and we have received positve feedback on the 280se, and we are expecting positive feedback on the rest. The buyers are quite happy and the 280z has been picked up already. I would like to mention, please do not bid on this item if you are not wanting to follow through. As you may know, eBay ads cost money, $120 to be exact, and I do need to sell this car in a timely manner for my move. She is worth every penny, and has a remarkable history. The "first" buyer for the last car I sold here, a 1979 Mercedes 280se, kept making excuses as to why he could not pay the deposit, and eventually flaked out. The second buyer stepped in and bought it, was happy and left positive feedback, but guys, please, do not waste my time or your time. The car is listed to the best of my knowledge and experience in ownership, and honesty is key for me. Please rest assured the car is a wonderful example of a 280z, and I'm confident you will be happy. Please follow through on your purchase, As stated before, I must move and selling this car must be done in a timely manner. With that said, I can store the car for you in my air-conditioned garage in Lakeway for 2 weeks, perhaps a little more if you contact me first. Engine / Drivetrain & the cut and dry: This car is rust free, relatively low mileage example of a decent 240sx. As you may know, these are quite popular to use as a drifter or just to soup up as a nice, quick daily driver with some "umph" under the hood. The car was healthy, but upon buying the car, a hundred miles later the timing belt snapped and damaged the head. I suspect the valves to be bent, but the pistons turn over just fine and do not seem to be damaged whatsoever. Before this happened, the car ran beautifully and the transmission was nice and tight, but still smooth if that makes sense. The car did not pull left or right and it tracked down the road straight and true. To the best of my knowledge and my mechanic's knowledge, the only thing this car needs is the head rebuilt or if you have a head already, just swap it and put a new belt on. This is the cut and dry, there's not much more to be said other than the temperature stayed in a healthy area when she ran and there were no leaks or smoke. This car was quite healthy until the belt broke at around 2k rpm... luckily it was not during a high rpm run, simply because I don't race my cars around. Interior: The pictures really say it all. It can be cleaned very well, there are no rips or tears in the upholstery, but she can use a light cleanup and detail overall. Exterior/Undercarriage: THIS CAR IS RUST-FREE. She does have some damage on the front fender and what you see in the pictures is what you need ot contend with or fix. The airbags DID NOT DEPLOY, nor is this car a salvage title... I repeat, this is NOT a salavge title car. It has a regular, clear, good, blue Texas title in my name. A/C and Climate: The car had a good working A/C when she ran. She has been sitting for a couple months, but I do not expect anything negative to have happened in that timeframe Other: All electronics to my knowledge work well. Title, stickers, tags: Inspection is current. The title is a good, blue title, IN MY NAME, and ready to be transfered to you. As I mentioned, I bought this car as a project, so I did not keep up with getting registration, I wanted it to be finished first. I will require a $250 cash deposit, sent to paypal, within 12 hours of auction close, and the remainder within 3 days, in cash, or a cashier's check that I can clear at a local bank on the day of pickup. If you need other arrangements, please contact me first. Please honor your bid, I have put a lot of time into this ad, and for someone to just back out is very unfair. Please let me know your intentions if you have zero feedback, or I may cancel your bids. I'm sorry, I've just had bad experiences in the past with bidders with zero or negative feedback. One of you guys are bound to ask something like: "Can I drive this car straight to California or New York if I fix the head right there and then??" - Well, I don't see why not, but then again, I don't even drive my DAILY DRIVER out of town, let alone out of state. I'm the kind of guy who rents a car for peace of mind. So, in conclusion, I feel like the car would make it, but why put yourself at risk? To date, every car I have sold on eBay, including a 1975 Peugeot 504 DIESEL that was driven to CANADA from Texas (I know, right?), has made it to its destination just fine if the new owner decided to drive it, but of course, I cannot guarantee anything to you. I hope it makes sense and you understand. Overall, this car has tons of potential. If you live in the Northern states especially (where there's lots of rust) and are looking for a good, rust-free, rear wheel drive, TEXAS vehicle with a great pedigree, this is the one. This is the last years of rear wheel drive cars that are quite like this! These will be collector cars someday because of its uniqueness and drivetrain layout. So fun to work on, and so fast with just a bit of mods. Please CALL ME if you have questions, you may get a quicker response that way! You can contact me at (512) 588-3492.
