Offered for sale is a 1976 Ford F-150 4x4 Custom with 390 engine in very good condition. I am relisting because of a non paying bidder. This truck was brought to the Midwest a couple of years ago and was originally from California so it is very solid and has minimal rust throughout. This truck has a factory side toolbox and the factory additional auxiliary fuel tank ( I don't think the auxiliary fuel tank is hooked up). The bed is in exceptionally good condition for a truck of its age. It starts, runs, and drives good all around and is very reliable even in very cold weather. The four wheel drive works well. It has an Edelbrock intake manifold installed. There is a clicking noise in the engine at high idle speed, but it seems to go away when you give it throttle quickly and then comes back at idle. My guess is that it is either a lifter that is going bad or a loose timing chain that would need to be replaced. The truck seems to use a little bit of oil, as 390's are noted for. There is a rubbing noise in the transfer case (I think) sometimes when you let off of the accelerator slowly going down the road, but if you flip the throttle quickly it stops. Has a new battery, new starter, new Holley 600cfm carburetor, new lower radiator hose, new water pump (not installed, but comes with the truck). BF Goodrich 33x12.5 tires are in good condition and have a lot of tread left. Shipping or pickup is the responsibility of the buyer. I will not deliver the truck.
