Up for sale here is a 1956 Cadillac Sedan DeVille 62 series. As you can see from the pictures this car will need some restoration work. It was last driven Dec. of 2009. It has been garaged for the past 2 years, out of the elements. Before I owned it it was parked in a barn, for an unknown amount of time. The car will need the inner and outer rockers replaced, as expected. There is very little rust on the car, the only areas that have minimal amount of rust are the rockers on the inner part of the corner panels. The doors open and close just fine and line up with the body good, there is no sag at all. The body is in good condition, only a couple of dings, one being the front corner panel (which is repairable not a total loss) and the other being the passenger side rear door (also completely repairable). All glass and chrome is intact. The interior does need some work, but in immaculate shape for being 55 years old. The only rough spot is the dash and top of the the back seat. The engine is a 365 V8 and runs. The carb has been rebuilt with a new fuel pump. The radiator has been pulled to be flushed and repaired. There are new wires, plugs, and dist. These parts tend to go out after about 50 years, as has been my experience. Transmission is automatic. The driveline has been pulled to accomidate new u-joints. Rear axle has been rebuilt within the past 5 years. The fuel tank has been cleaned and drained with a new sending unit and a new fuel line has been run to the motor. The car has power windows and locks. The really nice thing about this car is it's almost complete, 95% or better, and still in good shape. This is an original Colorado car, but somewhere over the past 55 years the title has been lost. The VIN inspection has been done and the car is clear. The car is currently being stored in Colorado and should be able to ship anywhere in the world. I will sell to anywhere in the world as long as you make the shipping arrangements and pay all the shipping costs. Buyer is responsible for shipping, making arrangements, and the cost. I require a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours at the end of the auction and payment in full within 7 days of the auction ending. I will not take paypal for payment unless you want to pay the 3% it costs me. A bank transfer would be a preferred method of payment. The car will not leave my possession unless paid in full and the funds have cleared my bank. I am not a hard deal, I just don't want to get scammed. I can store the car for free until the end of March. After that it will cost the buyer $50 a month for storage fees. The car is safely stored inside my garage now.
