This car is completely rust-free. It runs and drives perfectly. This Thunderbird is all original with only 51,000 miles. Take a close look at over 100 detailed pictures and bid accordingly. The body is in phenomenal condition. The buckskin paint is in very good condition. The car has only been repainted once in 1978. The 32 year old paint has held up amazingly well. There are some minor chips but overall it looks great. There is no rust on the body or the undercarriage of this car. All of the panels are laser straight and the gaps are all consistent. There are no signs of body filler anywhere. Both doors and the trunk and hood open and close, and latch perfectly. All of the chrome bright-work on the car is in absolutely perfect condition along with the grill and all the lights. The wheel covers are perfect too. The interior is in new condition. All the glass is perfect. The trim, leather seats, headliner, and dashboard are complete and have no damage. The carpets are like new. All of the factory gauges are working perfectly including the clock! The original radio is still in place too. Mechanically, this Thunderbird is excellent. It starts quickly every time and runs very smooth. The 312ci V8 produces 215HP and is very powerful. The 3-Speed floor shift manual transmission shifts great. The overdrive works as it should. The brakes are hydraulic all around and work very well. This Thunderbird is a beautiful example of a rare and desirable American classic. It is mechanically perfect and cosmetically excellent. This car has all the right options including both tops, Continental kit, 3-speed with overdrive, and the more powerful 312ci V8 engine. All the original identification tags are in place and the factory jack and lug wrench are in the trunk. The hard top and soft top both look like new and all the latches are working perfectly. NADA gives a Low Retail value of $29,360, Average Retail value of $36,585, and a High Retail value of $74,815. A fresh repaint and engine detail would make this one of the nicest Thunderbirds on the planet.
