Hello. We have here for your consideration a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina 4 door sedan. Exterior color is black. Interior is burgunday. This seats 6. Has automatic transmission with a v6 for power. Power windows. Power locks with window and door child lock on it. Has airconditioning that appears strong.Heat is very strong! Has AM/FM cassette. All works well. Does have cruise control. Works well. Plenty of power driving down the road! We bought this at a relatives estate sale. We finially got the title cleared and switched over to our name. We filed that two weeks ago. So we should have that back in soon. We just got another one back 2 days ago.My wifes step father supposedly according to my brother inlaw, put in a new battery last summer. He does know that they put in a new alternator. However, if we leave the car for a day, the battery ends up being dead. I have tested it when charged and seams fine.Again, using a small hand held unit, it claims when charged, that it is holding the proper charge. However, I have no way to check the amperage or electrolite levels in each cell of the battery. If we drive it around for the day, we have been able to restart with no issues. I have unbolted the battery while running(real feat!) and it has stayed running! I have not taken the battery in to car quest to be tested. So I am at this point left believing that it needs a new battery? I had a friend check it out at the garage on the computer and no issues came up.There are no warning lights on the dash. Not unless the battery has died. Then the anti-lock light will be on until you have driven and restarted the car. The front tire tread is low, but according to him, passable. Everything else, he said does pass inspection. We were unable to complete the inspection because the battery needs to be able to maintain a charge and the car started and driven long enough to clear the ECU he told me. As seen in the photos, there is some surface rust starting in the common spots making the paint bubble up.Paint is off in a couple of small locations. Please view pictures for details! Overall condition is good. On a scale from 1-10 for its age, I would certainly say its a 8. As for driving and handling, I would certainly give it a 9! Drives great! I currently have a pinto for my own use. I want to be able to buy a motorcycle for my usual commute to Rochester is why this one is for sale.
