1978 Pontiac Trans-Am original black on black car with 48,494 original miles! PHS documented car, all documentation included. It was repainted about 9 years ago by previous owner. It has some small dents and paint chips, paint job is not perfect. Original factory quadrajet has been replaced with a newer Edelbrock quadrajet. Original exhaust was replaced with a 2 1/2 dual exhaust with Flow Master mufflers. Car runs great and handles excellent. Currently it sports Firestone tires on 15 X 8 snowflake rims. This car is one of the last 1978's made with Hurst T-tops built in early June, later that month Pontiac switched over to the Fisher style T-top. Tachometer currently doesn't work and niether does the A/C, however, the A/C system is complete as it was from the factory. Car has a "R" title in Pennsylvania, previous owner stated the car was vandilized while in storage and they turned it in to the insurance, to the best of my knoweldge the car has never been in an accident. Car has been driven regularly during the spring, summer and fall months. It is stored in heated storage during the winter. Car is being sold "AS IS". The engine is the base 400 engine. The body has one nickle size place of bubbling under the paint, behind the drivers side rear tire. The interior is excellent shape no rips or tears, the headliner is loose around the T-tops and top of console lid has cracks. The way you see the car is the way I bought it 9 years ago, I have done nothing to the body or paint and I have no knoweledge of any prior work done to the car except paint job.
