DESCRIPTION: Up for AUCTION is a 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. Too many toys and TOO Many vehicles is forcing me to sell this classic little car. I bought this car last summer from a friend of a neighbor who was currently driving/restoring this car, some things came up and they needed cash quick. The car was painted inside and out, interior was re-done in a white with grey trim. Under body is pretty solid, no holes in floor pan. I bought the car with intentions of continuing the restoration and using it as a daily driver. Time retraints on my end, and other obligations are telling me to sell this car to someone that can give it the attention it deserves to be a show-quality car. Mechanicaly, this car is probably a 7/10, keep in mind this car is 39 years old. Engine runs strong, gears shift well. Has had an engine swap (still a 1600cc) since Ive owned it. Motor it had when I bought it needed a ring job, and I got a steal on a whole engine with the swap of the old one. It has a brand-new clutch in it, we replaced it while the motor was out. Brand new battery. All lights, turn signals, wipers, stereo, and horn work. The fuel gauge works but has a mind of its own. It will read normal then will peg it self out to the full!? A new sending unit will probaly correct this which should'nt be too hard to replace. Heater and blower work. THIS CAR is in "GREAT" condition considering the age and type of vehicle. YES, you will find "nicer" or "cleaner" bugs out there, but not at this price!! IF you are looking for a great little bug with "LOTS" of potential, here you go. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction ending, unless prior arrangements are made and agreed upon by BOTH parties.
