Porsche Cayenne V8 S model. Press on the gas pedal and you'll feel the surge of power. You can feel the torque pull the car but it never feels out of control and before you know it, you're at 80 miles per hour. Pretty good for a nearly 5000 lb. SUV. I felt that the V6 version was underpowered and based on this engine and the features, you would be better getting something else. In other words, if I was going to buy a Cayenne, it would have to be a Cayenne S with the V8 like this one. The 6 speed automatic transmission has a Tiptronic system to allow the driver to manually shift using the buttons on the steering wheel. While not as useful as BMW's SMG paddle shifting, it is useful when towing or when you need more control over the gearbox such as driving in the mountains or twisties. The automatic shifts flawlessly and shifts are smooth. I have driven this unit and it tracks down the road straight, no shimmies, no creaks, and the engine pulls very authoritatively with smooth shifts from the transmission.
