This is one of the cleanest Jaguar XJS's I've come across. I will try very hard to be as specific about the overall condition of the car as possible and what it needs and does not need so that you know exactly (or pretty close to it) what you are getting. We are a California licensed wholesaler/retailer and take pride in the automobiles we offer for sale. We dont sell junk/salvage cars. We sell cars that we ourselves, would drive. This 1994 Jaguar XJS convertible comes in beautiful Brooklands Green with a light tan interior with tan top. It is a 2 owner California/Arizona car that has never been in an accident. The interior is in extremely clean condition with no rips or tears on the carpet, seats or elswhere. I would say the interior is in "well above average condition" and I think most people would agree. The exterior, while very clean, has 2 minor door dings that can easily be repaired. We use a mobile "dent doctor" and he said it would cost about $125-$150 to fix the dings. There is a 3" scratch near the hood that can be almost completely buffed out. This sort of thing does not usually bother most people, but if you want a close to perfect exterior these "issues" are being mentioned for you. Mechanically, the engine, trans and overall drive train, etc, are in very good condition. The engine starts perfectly and drives very smoothly. The transmission shifts cleanly with no issues whatsoever. The AC blows ice cold. The top is brand new, the tires are brand new. Brakes work good. To make the car just about perfect, here is what needs to be done. The motor that runs the convertible top is inoperable, however, I have a new motor on order and will include it with the car. Until then, you will have to open the top manually. It needs a good alignment. The interior light does not work. The engine temperature gauge does not work. Im not an expert, but I'd bet these are minor issues to repair. However minor, you should still know about them. That is about it. There may be 1 or 2 other issues that I may have overlooked, but only because they are too minor for me to remember or see. Remember this is a used car that is 16 years old, so you are not getting a "showroom" car, but you are getting a very clean car that you will be proud to drive and one that should last many many years to come. Unfortunately the car does not come with a warranty, but like I mentioned I have had the car completely checked for any major defects and found none. Even so, the car is sold AS-IS.
