Vehicle Detail
1991 Lotus Elan M100 roadster. This is a opportunity to own a very rare exotic that was only imported into the US in 1991. Monaco White with Raven Leather. This great car has just under 90,800 original miles. No accidents, clear title, and clean vehicle history report. PW, PL, PS, CD, AC. All original with the exception of 2 cosmetic upgrades: 1) Custom '02 esprit V8/elise taillights. This taillight upgrade is completely reversible as no wiring or harnesses were cut. The painted housings containing the lamps bolt into the same 4 factory mounting points as the OEM tail lamp units; simply unbolt and replace with original, plug in harness and you're back to original. 2) 17" 5 spoke MiM Palermo aluminum rims with Lotus center caps. I am posting a photo of the elan from a few years back with the OEM 16" rims (painted monaco white) and OEM taillights on the car- these extra items are included in the sale. This Lotus runs well and has been a reliable car to own. New front CV boots/joints, new coolant hoses. It is 20 years old so will need some cosmetic attention: The Elan has the clear coat peeling problem that is common with these cars and should be redone. The car has the original soft-top and the rear window has clouded. A seam in the drivers seat has separated, the passenger seat is in excellent condition. The AC could also use a recharge (functional, but not blowing cold at this time), and the drivers side window needs help going up (another common Elan problem)- the regulator motor works fine so the tracks may need greasing/adjusting. Recently replaced the front bake pads and was advised that the front rotors may need attention in the future. This car has been one of the most enjoyable cars I have owned, and with a little TLC will be perfect, but I bought a new car so its time for someone else to enjoy this exotic roadster.I noticed that the above vehicle history report correctly indicates that the car was registered in a state (FL) affected by a FEMA storm event (Hurricane Wilma) a few years back. Please note that the car evacuated Florida with me long before the storm passed through.Terms of sale: $500 non refundable deposit due within 72 hours of close of auction.
