Vehicle Detail
There is no reserve on this bike! Use it for parts or sync the carbs and give it a good cleaning and get some good use out of it. SEE THIS BIKE RUN! http://blip.tv/file/3124210 (Video file)SEE MORE PICTURES! I use to ride it for a weekly commute of 160 miles round trip during the warmer days and some with the wife in the evenings. It has not been started in over a year and is sitting in our back yard covered. I took the bike to a buddy that does car mechanic work that was going to clean the carbs and he wound up adjusting the needles in the carbs before he read the haynes manual that said not to do that! Anyways, no one around here (bike shops) will touch it as it is too old. I bought a set of carbs to replace the others and put them on and attempted to sync them with a sync tool but I could not get it to sync up. The motor is fine and the carbs should be fine as they were pulled from a running bike. The electrical works (blinkers and brake lights except for the front brakes- they don't trigger the brake light, just the foot brake), the tachometer and speedometer work as does the gear selector lights, mileage and trip counter. It comes with a Vetter Windjammer, Vetter hard saddle bags and a Vetter trunk (I don't have the mount for the trunk) and a sissy bar as well as a SyncPro tool. Here is what I replaced on this bike:Tach/Speedo CableTires (probably less than a thousand miles on them)Electrical wiring (it wasn't working when I bought it)Gauges (new set of gauges)New pipes (pulled from another bike but in great shape- no holes)Relined the gas tankNew Handlebar gripsNew blinkers on the back The video link I included above was taken not this past winter but the winter before. It has sat idle since then.
