This car is a very original survivor in the very rare yellow color. This car has been owned for the past 5-6 years by a true MG lover and has taken very good care of the car. The car starts first time every time and drives like it should.

This is a no excuses car. Although not perfect it is a very high level driver quality with complete mechanical integrity and all electrical systems and gauges work like they should.
This is one of those cars you can get in and go almost anywhere you want to go. No repairs are required and it is ready for cruising action from the get-go.
There are a number of MGB's for sale but if you want a real solid car that will not drive you crazy, and you want a car that is ready for spring and summer cruising then why take chances. This is the car for you.

MGB Historical Data
The MGB is a sports car launched by MG Cars in May 1962 to replace the MGA and manufactured until 22 October 1980—originally by the British Motor Corporation and later by its successors. MGB production continued throughout restructuring of the British motor industry, and the parent company’s transition from BMC to British Motor Holdings in 1966 and to British Leyland Motor Corporation in 1968. The MGB currently holds a record for the best-selling sports car of all time, selling just over 500,000 units in it's lifespan.
The MGB was a relatively modern design at the time of its introduction. It utilized a monocoque structure that reduced both weight and manufacturing costs as well as adding chassis strength. This was a considerable improvement in comparison to that of the traditional body-on-frame construction used on the earlier MGA and T-type models as well as the MGB's rival, the Triumph TR series. The design included wind-up windows and a comfortable driver's compartment, with plenty of legroom and a parcel shelf behind the seats.
The MGB's performance was brisk for the period, with a 0–60 mph (96 km/h) time of just over 11 seconds, aided by the relatively light weight of the car. Handling was one of the MGB's strong points. The 3-bearing 1798 cc B-Series engine produced 95 hp (71 kW) at 5,400 rpm. The engine was upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft in an effort to improve reliability. A majority of MGBs were exported to United States. In 1974, as US air pollution emission standards became more rigorous, US-market MGBs were de-tuned for compliance. As well as a marked reduction in performance, the MGB gained an inch in ride height and the distinctive rubber bumpers which came to replace the chrome for all markets. The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in a 30 mph (48 km/h) impact with an immovable barrier (200 ton).
There were three main bodystyles for the 'B' throughout its lifetime. The vehicle could be fitted as an open roadster, a GT, and the V8 version. Along with the body-style variations, there were official, and unofficial, designations that characterize the vehicles evolution. The Mark I, never an officially designated, was from 1962 through 1968. During this time, the MGB GT was introduced. The GT added a closed version of the standard body. The roof added extra weight but improved its performance due to aerodynamic features the roadster version was unable to capitalize upon. In 1963, overdrive became available as optional equipment.
The Mark II followed in 1967 and continued through 1969. It was offered in GT and open forms. The main features distinguishing the MKII's was a modified, synchromesh gearbox with revised ratios, and reverse-lamps on the valance panel. An automatic gearbox became available as optional equipment for the MGB and continued until 1973. In 1967, MG introduced the MGC. This was intended as a replacement for the Austin-Healey 3000.
The Mark III was another unofficial designation, built from 1969 through 1974. The MKIII's featured rubber faced over-riders, British Leyland badges, vinyl seats, Rostyle wheels, and recessed grille. The recessed grille was later replaced by a black plastic mesh grille. In 1972, the GT version came standard with cloth seats. To conform to US emission and safety regulations, the American version of the 'B' car featured a split rear bumper.
1974 saw the most important changes in the B’s styling with the appearance of the controversial rubber bumpers needed to meet American 5mph crash tests. Unfortunately the suspension also had to be raised by 1.5 inches to satisfy standard bumper height requirements which had the very undesirable effect of heavy handling. Late 1976-1980 cars were fitted with rear anti-roll bars which restored most of the B’s original handling, revised dashboards and garish striped cloth seats. British Leyland artificially tried to boost sales by introducing special models, the first being the British market Jubilee cars which were finished in British racing green with gold stripes along the sides and gold painted wheels from the GT V8. The second being the final batch of cars, produced after the decision of definitely stopping MG production had been taken, these Limited Edition cars which were basically a run of 580 GTs and 420 roadsters painted in metallic beige (roadsters) and pewter (GTs). The cars were fitted with either alloy or wire wheels and a front airdam.Black roadsters had been produced for the American market (the GT had been dropped from the US market in 1974 to give way to Triumph’s TR7) between 1979 and 1980.The cars were basically the same as the UK LEs apart from their color and U.S. versions moved the horsepower down due to Federal Emission controls to 62.5 BHP. By October 22 of 1980, the last MGB rolled off the line, ending the story of the worlds best selling sports car.
