Here is a chance to own a numbers matching, very original 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Holiday coupe with a straight rust free body with a recent paint job at a reasonable price. Overall the car is a work-in-process driver. The paint color was changed by the previous owner to suit his personal taste, along with adding the racing stripes, although all the door jambs were not repainted. The paint has no scratches or dents.The interior is all original and unrestored except for a new dash pad. The car is a rare bench seat version. Options on the car are power steering, power brakes, AM radio, tinted windshield glass,and originally equipped with vinyl top(now painted body color). Mileage is exempt due to 6 digit odometer, but is assumed to be 114,707. Overview of car: Exterior: Paint is good quality and done within last year, bumpers are original and have normal wear and tear, car needs upper windshield molding, lower vinyl top molding, and front side marker lights--all other moldings are there. Weatherstrips are original and need replacing. Hubcaps are in good shape and are assumed to be original to the car. Tires are newer Michelin. No signs of rust on body. There is no rust on floorboards.Trunk is good overall but there are a few minor perforations on the driver side from water getting into it. Original trunk mat is still there. Spare tire but no jack. Glass is all in good condition. Interior: All original except for replaced dash pad that matches outside color. Previous owner was going to change interior color also. Door panels are worn, front and rear seats are worn. Headliner and sail panels are very good to excellent condition. Carpet is original and in good shape. Dash would need detail work. Speedometer, gas gauge, heater, and wipers all work, original AM radio does not work. Drivetrain: Original matching numbers 400 cubic inch engine, all original looking with stock valve covers, air cleaner, exhaust manifolds with new aluminized exhaust system. Car needs exhaust tips. Turbo 400 transmission and 12 bolt rear end appear to be original. Car runs and drives fine with no smoke or noise from engine, transmission shifts fine, and rear axle is quiet. The power steering and power brakes both work good. This car is a reasonable way to get into a numbers matching real 442 and you can take it to whatever level you want to. <
