1968 Elva Courier MkIV SE This is a rather special example of the Elva Courier Mk.IV T-Type as was the car taken out to New Zealand by Tony Ellis (see more about Tony and his massive input into the Elva story on www.elvacourier.com) and it therefore has a unique history. Details supplied are as follows and more pictures are available on request. 1798cc MGB original engine - detuned from racing with Minnow turbocharger removed by Ellis before moving to NZ Rack and pinion steering All independent suspension Chassis - original double back bone of steel box sections and square tubing, with steel side members and floors made from scratch at the Trojan factory. Fibreglass body with steel doors. 72,111 recorded mileage This rare vehicle is the de-tuned test car used by Tony Ellis and 1 of eight SE models in his modified edition from the MkIV T-Type models. Chassis No is E1194. Ellis brought this car with him when he moved to NZ back around 1974 and my family has owned it since 1983. In good original condition, it has been hardly used here in New Zealand, and has the original engine in it. A reluctant sale. The NZ reg papers authenticating Tony Ellis's ties are also attached.
