BUY A PIECE OF HISTORY UP FOR BID IS A 1965 FORD MUSTANG This beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang has been in storage long enough, it needs a new home, but only if you promise to take care of it. It was built in San Jose Ca. but was a very early build, so early in fact that many parts are original 64-1/2 , examples being windshield wipers and controls, heater controls, and I'm sure there are more. At this point let me share the Vin. # with you ( 5R07C196669 ) I have the original window sticker, it goes with the car as does all receipts and history. The car was first sold by Smith & Gandy Inc. in Seattle Wash. and stayed with the original owner most of it's life, a large part of it in storage. When he died it was willed to a family member in Mass. and again stayed in storage. I bought it from that family member and have had it for approx. 10 years almost all that time in storage. I have used the car sparingly in the summer only and it has only 108,000 original miles. It is and has been insured by Grundy Ins. and registered in R.I. It starts and runs fine. I am a member of the Mustang Club of America and own another 65 Mustang, this one a convertible, that is all original and has won gold status at national shows. I say this so the future buyer knows this car is not being sold for a quick profit by some one who doesn't care, I do care. THE CONDITION OF THE CAR IS AS FOLLOWS It has a 289 V8 with a 2 barrel carburetor. Auto Trans, Power Steering, and original radio. Engine, Auto Trans, Rear End, to the best of my knowledge are original to the car, and it runs perfect. Under carriage is in great condition, floors, rails etc. Brake shoes are just about new, cooling system is fine. The interior is original except for the carpet , that was replaced. There's no damage to the interior, the drivers seat at the top needs to be re-stitched The out side was painted by the original owner over 12 years ago and as you can see still looks great ( the original color ) The usual spots are starting to bubble, lower front fenders, and a few in the rear no big deal. With very little effort and a few dollars you can have a really great car. I am selling it because of health issues, I can no longer keep two cars. Knowing Mustang's as I do this car is good enough that I'm not sure you need to restore it, if I kept it I would not. FINAL NOTES I am available to answer any questions you may have.
