UP FOR AUCTION AGAIN DUE TO BOGUS BUY IT NOW BUYER nicholefowler2911 Hello for your consideration a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible project car. Vehicle has been garage stored and has a solid rust free foundation, rockers,frame rails, torque boxes are all in good shape as are the floor and trunk pans, with only surface rust on underside of pans. Front fenders have been worked sometime in its life as there is filler. Quarters need patch panels (see pics around wheelhouse. One small area at rh rear directly behind chrome molding of rust ( see pic). Hood is included with vehicle, doors are in good shape. Front aprons and battery apron are all in great shape as well. *****Owner of vehicle was in process of starting to restore and had the engine(non matching) 302 engine remanufactured, it has been bored .030 over, new pistons,rings, all internal machine work done as far as rods resized,crank turned, new rod/main bearings, cylinder heads remanufactured with all new valves to run on unleaded gasoline and hardened valve seats, new timing gear and chain, new cam and lifters, and associated gaskets, this engine has been professionally gone through by the best with the best. Transmission has been remanufactured as well and comes with a new torque converter it is a C4 automatic. Carburetor and starter, etc. all come with the engine as well, they arent in the pictures though. Engine and transmission are ready to install !!! Interior is intact, split bench type front seat. Dash is in perfect shape NO cracks or tears. Door panels as pictured have had speakers installed back in the day. Stating the obvious vehicle needs a new top. Overall this is a really nice project car that would need very little to get it on the road as stated the high dollar mechanical part(engine & transmission) have already been remanufactured.
