One of a kind 2003 Mitsubishi Montero XLS. Set up as a daily driver that can due double duty as an overland expedition vehicle. Recently installed ARB rear locking differential, ARB bumper, and complete Old Man Emu HD lift kit. Less than 3000 miles on these items. Less than 5000 miles on the Hankook 265/75R16 All terrain tires. 2003 was the only year that this exact configuration was available in the US. Has the larger 3.8L motor with the 5 speed auto/sport shift transmission along with all the upgraded traction and stability control electronics, but without all the fluff that the limited version came with (leather, rear heat, power seats, sun roof, ect...) still has all you would need, PW, PD, PL, cruise, CD player, AC. Excellent condition, low miles, adult owned, I would guess over 99% of its life has been on paved roads, and the off road it has seen has been limited to fire roads. Seats 7 if needed, I have the 3rd row out and use the well it folds into to hold emergency gear (fuel, shovel, tow strap, ect...) I can get 18-20 MPG on the highway if I keep it under 70mph, and with a 24 gallon fuel tank the range is great. Just had the oil changed, ready to go. This is one the most under appreciated vehicles ever to make it into the states. Around the world it does duty along side Toyota Landcruisers, Nissan Patrols, Land Rovers, taking people and gear just about anywhere they could imagine to go. Would love to keep it, but my needs have changed. Thanks for looking. Items in the rear seat storage well (fuel can, shovel, tow strap, ect...) are not included in sale.
