Vehicle Detail
1969 Dodge Coronet 440 Full original numbers matching drivetrain 318 with 904 automatic transmission Factory Air Conditioning that works. I just spent $1000 on it updating it. Any of the original parts that were replaced I have in the trunk The car is basically rust-free. See the pictures. It was stored indoors in a barn by the first owner. He was an obese gentleman, thus the low miles The body had one repaint in 1979 due to being vandalized in a parking lot with a key to the paint. It was repainted in the same color. It appears that there was a skim coat of filler put on over the lower edges of the very rear part of the rear quarter panels. Nothing major, and it looks nice. See the pics. The paint job was a single stage job, pretty much what was available in 1979. It's nice, but doesn't look like a two-stage job that would be done today. There are some nicks, and took pictures of them. There are no dents that I see at all. Chrome all looks good. Bumpers look good. The vinyl top is excellent and appears original. I think the windows are all original. The side window still shows the Air Conditioning etching from the factory. The floors are original and are not rotted. Please see the pics. They are solid. Everything under the car is solid. The gas tank and the lines are new. I run usually mid grade and it runs just fine. The trunk is solid, and comes with the original bumper jack in excellent condition. I do not have the original checkerboard-style trunk mat and I don't think I have the spare tire. All the lights work. The radio works. The antenna is off but I have it. I remove it because I keep the car covererd at all times. The wheels and tires are newer and the wheels are Torque Thrusts that are period correct. The shocks are newer, and the rears are air shocks. The exhaust is new and it is a Flowmaster 40 system set up as a dual exhaust system all the way to the back. It sounds GREAT. You'd never guess the motor was a 318. The interior is very nice, with the exception of the drivers seat area, where the seams are coming apart. That is due to a 400 pound driver. The drivers' side door panel material is pulling a bit on the armrest, and could use some attention. I am sure it's due to a 400 pound guy leaning on it. Other than that, it's in excellent condition. Everything in the interior is above average. This is a great car. It would be great for one of two things: It would be a great daily driver. It gets 19-20 MPG, runs out straight, with no issues. If the car sits for 2 weeks, I just hop in, punch the gas once, and turn the key. It fires up every time. Every time. I absolutely would have no problem at all driving this thing 2,500 miles to California and back right this very minute. That's how confidant I am in the car. Feel free to fly in and drive out, wherever you live in the lower 48 states if you want to. The second thing this car would be a great candidate for is a SuperBee clone project. I have considered this alot before putting it up for sale. It's the perfect platform. Solid, ready to go. But I decided against it because, well, it's got only 36,000 original miles, and they are only origninal ONCE... Same owner from 1969 to 2006 (from what I was told and what I can see in the paperwork). I have the original title, the original loan paperwork AND lien release, original owners' death certificate, probate info, original books, etc etc. I will ship internationally at buyers expense. I will deliver and/or ship in the United States at buyers expense. Please contact me for details. I will NOT take Paypal for this transaction.
