Vehicle Detail
this is one tough truck! the military classify it as a 5/4 ton truck, or a 4500. new remanufactured 6.2 diesel with a turbo from a 6.5 and an intercooler from a 7.3 powerstroke. motor has a dsg gear drive and dsg main bearing girdle. also has arp head studs installed to help handle the boost. when i installed the motor i also installed new injectors, a rebuilt injector pump, new water pump, new hoses, new therm., new radiator, dual electric fans to make room for the intercooler, new fuel filter, 1 new 100amp alternator, poly motor mounts, new trans mounts. i fabricated a 4" turbo back exhaust that has a stack on the passenger side. i also had the th-400 trans rebuilt and installed a new torque converter while it was apart. behind the trans is a gear vendors overdrive unit that basicly gives the turbo 400 a 4th gear, which is very useful on the highway. axle gear ratio is 4.56. front axle is a dana 60 with a limited slip and the rear axle is a corporate 14 bolt, full float with a locker and custom torque arms to reduce axle hop. front axle also has a guard on the pumpkin and the front steering is up over the axle. also, the rear brakes have been converted from drums to discs. dual front steering stabilizers procomp shocks and 6 inches of suspension lift make room for the 34" tires. you could probably fit tires as big as 37" on it comfortably. custom rock sliders/running boards. mechanically awesome. everything works good. definitely has some dents, and the standard rust on the rear cab corners and bottom rear corners of doors. i have patch panels for the cab corners from LMC truck that i never got around to welding on. however, just look at the pictures, the truck is a BEAST. would make a perfect 4 wheeling toy or hunting truck. i really hate to part with it, but while i was doing all the work on it a bought another truck and the wife says one of them has to go. Any questions either send me a message or email me at elevatorman82@comcast.net. Truck is for sale locally as well, so i reserve the right to end the auction early. the mileage on the odometer is off by a couple thousand. the actual mileage is about 56,000. also, just some prices to consider when bidding. i have about 4,000 in the motor and it has less then 2500 miles on it. the trans cost me 500 to have rebuilt at a local shop and it has even less mileage on it since the rebuild. the gear vendors overdrive unit costs about 3000 new. those are the big ticket items. thats not even mentioning the small stuff. electric fans, intercooler, tubing for exhaust and intake, paint. injection pump i paid 400 for from a local shop and the injectors are about 50 a pop. anything less for those items and you'll be replacing them again real soon. again, please consider these things when bidding. thank you.
