Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE! 2009 Nissan Pathfinder S, 4X4 (only 13,672 miles) I paid extra for dealer to add both factory running boards and body side moldings ("S" model normally does not include these two options) at new purchase which makes them covered in the remaining factory warranty. Silver, 4.0L, 267 HP, 24 valve DOHC V6, 6,000 lb. tow rating, Factory hitch, CD player, A/C, cruise, manual seat and lumbar adjustment, a fully boxed framed chassis (not c-frame) for solidness and ruggedness not CUV unibody (car), or hybrid frame (hence, a 6,000 lb tow rating). If you're looking for stronger off road ability and heavier towing the Pathfinder excels. It's been said in auto reviews to be a more refined version of a Ford Explorer. Rides firmer and not mushy, but still very smooth on the highway. Independant rear suspension and longer wheelbase compared to its sibling the X-terra. Flush folding 3rd row bench seat. Factory warranty remaining is 22,328 bumper to bumper, plus Nissan's standard body and drivetrain warranties. Mileage averages between 17-21 depending on highway, city, gas grade, etc. Condition: Like new with the original General tires, no scratches inside, tares or stained upholstry, etc. Had car seats in it briefly, but had a long black towel both covering the bottom seat and the back seats of the 2nd row. There has never been pets, hauling, or smoking in this vehicle. I'm the original owner and bought it in August of 2009 Apple Nissan, York, PA. The only thing to really mention is that the horn does not chirp when the alarm is set locking it, though the horn works fine on the wheel, etc. The lights flash, the locks lock, but the horn stopped chirping. Easy dealer fix under the factory warranty. Kelly Blue Book shows $24,907 for private sale with running boards, and a $20,875 trade-in value, so I'm only starting at below trade value folks! CarMax has already offered me $20,000 as a non-trade, straight buy. Then somebody will wind up paying in the $20ks for it on a lot. I thought it was worth a little more than that, and according to NADA and KBB it is. Rather than them make a few grand off it after paying me $20K, why not somebody get a better deal than buying it off a dealer so we can both do better? Let's split that (middle-man) dealer profit. Give me something more than the $20K they offered me at CarMax to make it worth both our time and it's all yours! I'm selling it because I quit work to raise my two pre-school kids. Wifey has a superior job to mine so she now pays the bills. We have a less expensive 2010 CRV LX that we are keeping, but the two are too much on the pocket book and one has to go. We can trade both on a larger CUV, or just keep our compact CRV. The difference though between this Pathfinder and the new Honda CRV are still substantial. The Pathfinder is solid as a tank! The workmanship and also the materials used are superior as well over the little Honda. Believe me, I wanted to get rid of the CRV and keep the Pathfinder, but the payment is higher and the mileage is a little lower. Our 4-cyl CRV with a roof rack is only getting 24.5 mpg and can get as low as 21! The power and the heft of the Pathfiner would crush that tin can CRV! No comparison! A lot of older school vehicle for the money! A real SUV vs. a toy, basically. Wife wouldn't go for it. Says she likes the toy since she bought it, and had picked it out. I bought the Pathfinder. I've dragged my feet on selling it now for over two months, hoping she'd change her mind. All I can say is take it or leave it. I am not desperate about selling it anyhow, but I think the price now is more than reasonable. Goes any lower, I'll leverage trade the both of them for something larger than a CRV that the wife had say in picking out and dump both of them! Nuff said! P.S. It has never towed anything contrary to my "camperguy" handle. I have a large 38 ft. RV permanently setup before I owned this vehicle, and this vehicle would not be suitable to tow 10,000 lb. payloads. Finally, the "93" carfax rating is Excellent, but apparently not perfect only because I have a typical credit union loan on it, which will be paid in full releasing the title to the new owner. What having a loan on a vehicle has to do in calculating some number affecting the value of a vehicle who knows? Most ordinary folks have some kind of a loan on new $30K SUVs when they buy them!
