1998 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 Quad Cab Long Bed. Powerful V10 engine with automatic transmission. It has a newer aluminium radiator and hoses. It also has new brakes all the way around. The oil was changed last week. There is the normal wear and tear of a 12 year old truck, a couple scratches here and there, a small tear in the drivers seat and a small dent in the passenger front fender. The truck has been used for towing in the past and has electric trailer brakes installed. There is also remnants on the dash of where a CB (or something similar) was once installed. The bed has a spray on bed liner and a retractable cover but the latch has a hard time holding it closed and I haven't taken the time to investigate. I am the third owner and took this truck as a partial trade for a vehicle I sold last summer. At the time, I thought it would be nice to have a big truck around. Within a couple weekends I had completed all the tasks around the house I needed a truck for and it has not been used much at all since. I did take it out in December when we had a bunch of rain and played in the mud, the four wheel drive worked great. I also drove it to work a few times (3 mile round trip). I have put less than 250 miles on it since I got it. This truck was originally sold in Canada and so on the speedometer the kilometers are the big numbers and miles are the small numbers. It was properly imported into California many years ago and has the California DMV sticker on the door jam. When it was first brought in, the DMV converted the kilometers on the odometer to miles and reported that when previously kilometers had been used in the reporting. This is why AutoCheck flags it. AutoCheck is not smart enough to do the kilometer-miles conversion. Currently the odometer reads 258,481 kilometers which converts to 160,612 miles.
