Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe !! This is a great "drive-as-you-restore" Falcon. Runs well with it's 200 cid inline 6 and C-4 3 speed auto transmission. Odometer shows about 95,000 miles-I'm certain that is original. It is a small production number true bucket seat 2 door coupe, representative of the '60s Falcon's sportyness and economy. Probably a 25 mpg car on the highway. Not perfect, but a very nice 46 y/o platform which is totally original. All the pieces and parts are there; nothing is missing and it's never been modiified. Most of the older cars have been butchered in one way or another by an owner who knew too little about automobiles. NOT this one! What it needs--or could certainly use: The body is not perfect; NOT a rust bucket, as the floors and trunk are excellent and so is most of the body. This is a Georgia car, so it's not seen salt, either top or bottom. It has the pass side 1/4 panel issue which needs to be addressed. Has the typical small rust around the lower back window and the rear body seams around the trunk where water collects. Nothing serious, very driveable. The paint has been 'touched up' in a few places. Again, the car looks great from a distance, but really does need paint. The interior is, again, driveable but needs replacing. Carpet is simply aged and is disintegrating in a couple areas. The vinyl bucket seats, as seen in the pics, need re-upholstering, no doubt. The headliner is in good-not perfect-shape. It's all there, but some of the thread is simply disintegrating. Can be re-sewn and would be good for another couple years, I'm sure. The 'fuzzy dash' comes as a no-charge option. (whatthehellweretheythinkin'??) I do have an original set of wheels and sport hubcaps for the car. It looks very cool with the stock wheels on. The brakes do need looking at before this becomes a daily driver. The system has a slow leakdown and must be taken care of, but it does have brakes. My first guesses would be a wheel cylinder or a brake line; I have not looked. Get the brakes done and this becomes a cool, retro driver!! I guarantee it will be an attention getter. I have described my car as accurately as possible. I'm honest and have a 100% feedback score on Ebay, if you care to check. k228custom3t7f is the account. This car is a very nice start to a very special auto. Not many Sport Coupes ever made and certainly very few left. You will get looks wherever you drive. Check out the pictures I've attached. I have many more and will take area specific pics and e-mail to you IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS BUYER. Please do not waste your time or mine on something you can't possible purchase. The price is not absolutely concrete, but I know what the unit is worth and so do you. I have a clean Florida title in my name for the car. No issues here. If you need more specific info, my phone is (321) 276-2953. (must dial the 321 even if in the area code) Again, please only serious buyers. Think I'm asking too much for this vehicle?? I don't need to sell this car but I do have other projects I'd like to finish. Make me an offer! All will be entertained. If you have less then 10 positive feedback I will cancel your bid if you do not contact me first. Best way is thru "Contact Seller'. Thanks for looking!
