Hello. I bought this vehicle on Ebay in December. I accidentally hired a disreputable auto shipper who took my money, but has not picked up car. He has left me in a position where I can not afford to hire a second shipper right now, so I must forego this great project car and sell it to someone else. Car is in Truman, Minnesota still, but I have the clear title in hand. Bought from eBayer bradley5101, who has 29 transactions with a 100% positve feedback rating. I say all this so you know I am interested in nothing less than full disclosure, if you are interested. The previous description read: "In decent shape drive as is or could be restored. It has a fuel issue and most likely would need to be trailered. Have had the engine checked out and it got the okay but can't seem to get the fuel injection working right. My loss is your gain!" Did speak to previous owner Brad, and admittedly, he has no decent trained Mercedes mechanic near him. Spoke to two of my own mechanic's, and they indicated the fuel injection could very well be fine. A common problem is the distributor shaft can leak into the fuel system, fouling an otherwise well running fuel injection system. This is all conjecture, all I really know from all my conversations is the car is all there, runs and could make a great project or be driven as is after fixing fueling issues. They said all power accessories work, the car is in storage paid up through April, and I verified the car is there with the owner of the storage property. So...do you see the potential I did for the price? The cars are getting very collectible. Finances just got really tight, and I may have to pursue legal action against the shipper, but probably just lost my $300 deposit, and this car, as well.
