Up for auction: 1975 BMW 2002A project car. The car has been parked for the last 6 months but was driven to where it was parked, and the only reason it does not currently run is the distributor was pulled to test use in another 02. This is a sunroof car, and the sunroof seals will likely need to be replaced. After the last round of storms we did notice a small wet spot on the drivers seat. Carpet has been pulled. The car was converted to a weber 32/36 carb before we got it. We bought the car to convert it to a five speed transmission, and then the parts were used in an older roundie car. The rear valance has a couple of dents in it, and the clear coat has some orange peel. With a small amount of body work in the rear, a match paint and a clear coat respray, this would be an attractive 02. The car has an air dam on the front from an unknown manufacturer. It had been a week or so since I had been near the car, and apparently someone has taken the door cards, and some trim. I have replacements of everything and will be taking them down over the next day or so and installing them. The new door cards will be the same color and condition as the original, which were black. As with any used car I recommend a personal inspection before purchase. The pictures I have show the condition of the trunk floor and shock towers which are good. I saw one hole in the spare tire well about the size of a quarter. Where the car sits I could not see underneath, but I could tell from the top that the floor boards have been previously patched. Tbhey patches were done properly with steel and welded in, not pop rivet overlays disguising the real problem. On Feb-09-11 at 07:06:34 PST, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL UPDATE: I did not realize that I missed listing it, but the car comes with an extra, KNOWN GOOD used automatic transmission, tourque converter, and auto shifter assembly that was taken out only because of a five speed conversion.
