All 2005 Thunderbirds were 50th Anniversary models. Only 1500 were the 50th Anniversary Limited Editions that carry the special plate on the glove box lid - this is number 93 of that series. Ford produced limited editions each year: 2002 featured 200 Nieman-Marcus models, 2003 featured 700 James Bond 007 models, 2004 featured 1000 Pacific Coast roadsters and 2005 featured 1500 50th anniversary limited editions. The 2005 limited edition included every option available in 2005 - there were no other options available for US models (in Canada you could get a block heater). The exterior color is cashmere - a tri-coat metallic paint. The interior is called cashmere as well - actually white leather with 50th anniversary embossed seats. The removable hard top (with stand and cover) is included. This top has custom engraved Thunderbird emblems on the port hole glass. The soft boot is included as well. All maintenance records are included - all done by the book since new. Original window sticker and special build documentation is included. This Thunderbird is covered by Ford's Premium Care extended service plan for 7 years and 100,000 miles. It will expire on 14 April 2012 or when 100,000 miles are reached, whichever comes first. This Thunderbird was in an accident on 28 November 2005 at 9700 miles. It was repaired (including a complete repaint (including removable hard top), because of the difficulty in matching the tri-coat metallic paint) and is now in perfect working order. There are a few stone chips on the front acquired since the repaint. This vehicle has a clear Louisiana title (not salvage or other). We are selling because the vehicle is too small for us to use as we originally intended - overnight road trips. The trunk is small and luggage capacity is limited. We love driving this Thunderbird - it is a beautiful, powerful and fun car to drive and be seen in. This vehicle is also for sale locally - we will end the auction early if we sell it here. NADA says this vehicle is worth between $18,600 and $31,700 (original sticker was $44,285). Our reserve is quite modest - we need to make room for its replacement. If you are the winning bidder, we require an immediate $500 PayPal payment. This is non-refundable. After inspection, if the Thunderbird is not what we have described, you can walk away from the purchase, but we keep the $500. This is not intended to do anyone out of $500 - it is intended to deter non-responsive bidders or bidders with buyer's remorse.
