Great Car for the right owner...the right Price!! Have loved this car for years, and you will love it too....but it must now go. Since having children just haven't driven it, ie. since 2003 (just periodical start up).When I bought it it was supposed to be Melissa Etheridge's car...never checked into this but she was the only other owner. They are comfortable, fun to drive, and offer very attractive styling, at an affordable price. Unlike many of the earlier British roadsters, the Alfa's offered increased refinement, performance, and reliability, as well. They also came with improved "creature comforts" including air conditioning, power windows, nice sound systems, power steering and beautiful interiors. "Opening up" the car to the sky above is simply a matter of undoing (from the driver's seat) the two latches from the windshield area, and pushing it back to the rear storage area. Instant convertible! Considering their size, the Alfa Spider even offered ample trunk space for those long weekends on the coast, or to your favorite holiday destination. Early Alfa Spider's were equipped with 1600 twin cam engines which were later increased in size to two-liter, fuel injected versions. The larger, current engines, proved to be very reliable, and offered excellent drivability, torque, and good overall performance for a small convertible. Great quote "Never pretentious, never ostentatious, and, somehow, always in style. If people could only age as well as the Spider, maybe growing old wouldn't be so bad. Then again, from behind the wheel of a Spider it doesn't even matter that we age. This car is timeless. Endless. Eternal. There's an air of immortality and invincibility about the Alfa.
