NO RESERVE 1973 Mustang Convertible with a 351c engine and automatic transmission Up for sale is my 1973 Mustang Convertible with its original 351c engine. I purchased this car in order to due a complete restoration while I drove it. The car is a Northern California car with no rust in the floor pans that I can see, rear quarter panels, doors, front fenders or hood. There is a small pin hole of rust at the base of the driver's side rear taillight insertion hole which is not unusual for this year mustang but again is just minor (see pics). I was going to change the color over to a medium blue with the argent hockey stripes and argent painted hood and change the interior over to White rather than the black it currently is. Take a look at the pictures and you will see that there is no rust in the rear quarter panels, at the door jams etc. This is a clean foundation car that runs and can be driven while you restore. The car has been in non-op status with DMV for past ten years but has been started and run on a normal basis and driven from the backyard to front yard. The car has the following options: 351C "H" Code engine- runs strong and good Dark Green paint- currently painted red over original paint and is fading quickly Black deluxe interior- carpet needs replacing, door panels are original and old, driver's door panel is brittle passenger door panel is ok Stereo radio with speakers in doors Power brakes, Power Steering, Nasa Hood, Power black top with deluxe folding glass option- top is old and needs replacing and has a few rips, fluid is low in hydrolic system The body on the car is pretty straight with exception of a few dings, but has one dent in the driver's side front fender that needs to be fixed, I say replace the fender there cheap enough.The car runs great and can be used as a driver while you restore it. The fuel gauage needs to be fixed because it is not reading the gas level. The tires on the car are old and need replacing. Standard hubcap car. I have restored Mustangs for over 30 years and in my opinion this car has a great foundation. A rust free car that just needs disc sanding to paint, put a new top on her, some new interior and tires and you will have collector car worth its weight in gold. Maybe interested in a project 1969 mach 1 or fastback trade or moving up to a shelby mustang. It is unknown if the mileage on the car is actual mileage or not. I can assist with arrangements in transportation for pickup. Car will not be shipped until entire payment is made.
