Up for auction is a true unrestored barn car that is one of the last true muscle cars Buick produced in the 70s. I purchased this vehicle about 10 years ago in plans of doing a full restore but it has sat in my garage since then. This is a true Sloan documented Stage 1 Sun Coupe car that is less than one in 250 produced. The engine is NOT a numbers matching. The block, carb, and distributor do not have the stamping numbers or date codes representative with stage 1 cars. The heads are miss match castings with the drivers side being a 74 casting and the passenger side being a 73 casting. I do not know if these are the stage 1 heads as I have never had the heads off to check the valve sizes. The original stage 1 chrome valve covers and dual snorkle air cleaner DO remain. The transmission IS numbers matching. It is the factory "BB" TH-400 with the correct serial code that matches car. The body is complete but has rust. The passenger front quarter and driver rear quarter are in the worst shape. The water drains for the Sun Coupe has ate away at these panels. The battery tray is also rusted. Interior: The interior is white with dual buckets and console shifter. The buckets are pretty rough but the rear seat is in decent shape. It is a Luxus interior. The electric sunroof (Sun Coupe) makes this car even more rare. It DOES run and drive but will need to be towed away. Clear OHIO title in hand. Local Pickup preferred. This car would make a great restore project for a Buick enthusist. I've just never got around to the car and have other Buicks that get all of my attention. Its time for this one to move on.
