Jaguar 1986 XJ6 Series III whole car for project, factory stock. $995. Possibly sell as Donor car or Part Out. (Would prefer to see this English car beauty restored, but that is up to the buyer.) White exterior factory paint, tan leather interior. Moon Roof. Inline 6 cylinder engine, 4.2 Liter DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam). Motor turns over. Odometer shows 98,033 miles. Good Tires 50%+ tread (Pirelli 215/70 R15); factory alloy rims okay condition. Started restoration on this British luxury saloon and then I was overtaken by several life events. Have no time to restore this formerly smooth driver. Ran when parked over a year ago. Automatic transmission cable is broken=(replacement cable costs $36.00 & up depending on source). Water pump was leaking=(replacement H2O pump costs $110.95 & up depending on supplier). Has some minor rust typical of the type car around lower windshield edge, bottom corners fenders and quarter panels, etc. Please see picture details. The engine now runs Briefly, a second or two, on an aerosol shot of starter fluid. Suspect either bad gas or clogged fuel filter or? Spent some solo time with the car Sunday afternoon. She is still covered in a light coat of dust from sitting in the garage. Started at driver's side front fender (one of worst rust spots), then back along driver's side to trunk area. Continued around the passenger's side and worked forward to the passenger front fender aft of the wheel (second worst spot), then forward up under the grill area. Then took more pics of lower windscreen corners, then underside of the car fore and aft views. Appears to me the car was driven over a salted road and not rinsed off making the down low rust areas on front lower valance under the front bumper, fender's lower corners behind both front wheels, and rear valance below rear bumper.
