Vehicle Detail

Here is a very nice 1973 cb750. This bike runs and drives with no problems. This bike has been taken out a few times every year. It starts, runs and operates as you would expect it to. The exhaust system is in spectacular condition with very little surface rust and absolutely no holes or even any signs of rust decay. The wheels and spokes are also nearly perfect, without any rust that doesn't seem to polish off. Engine runs like a watch with no issues what so ever. NO smoke, exhaust leaks or any problems. Transmission and clutch work as new as well. The latch on the seat is there along with the key. The seat is in nice shape with only a small crack which is barley noticeable. All the lights work as well as the horn. Mirrors and grips are mint. I believe the grips are original. As you noticed in the pictures, the tach and the left side cover are missing. I am in search of a tach, and should have one by the time the auction is over. Completely my fault, a mounting bracket that was on an overhead shelf fell on the tach and dented the housing and broke the glass. Talk about pissing me off! As for the side cover, thats anyones guess. Someone felt they needed it more than I did. The only other thing that is not original are the rear shocks. They were replaced with Progressive springs and shocks. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time but it would be nice to have the stock ones back on. Im sure anyone could find a set of originals without to much trouble. Again, this bike starts, runs and drives like a dream. One kick of the kick start is all it takes! The gas tank is clean with NO rust on the inside. I pointed out in the photos where there is a little ding on the tank. Paintless dent removal no problem. This is a clean and unmolested classic. Keep in mind that it is unrestored so after 38 years every part is not going to look like it came off the assembly line. Good luck, and happy bidding. On Jan-28-11 at 14:50:31 PST, seller added the following information: Hey Guys. I'm overjoyed to say I found and have installed probably the cleanest Tachometer in the upper midwest. The face matches the speedometer perfectly. How I got so lucky is beyond me. I did have to pay a pretty penny but I still felt like I won the lottery walking out the door with it. I took a short video of the bike outside my shop today and will be uploading it to youtube. Just a quick walk-around and then I started it up to show you all how nice it runs. Title on youtube will be Steves' classic 73 cb750.
