Vehicle Detail
I am listing my dually for sale as I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it (see mileage). In September of 2006, I traded out of a worn out one just like it for this new one. I was a cattle farmer/trader and did a lot of hauling of cattle and hay. About 4 month later, I took a desk job and my hauling came to a screeching halt as I largely sold out of the business. Since then, I've used it for limited trips to the market for the few cows I have left, for pulling a boat, and back and forth to town to run the engine from time to time. I love the truck but can't justify keeping it when my old farm truck will pull the boat just as well. It is fully loaded. Leather front and back, heated and power seats both sides, memory seat settings for driver, 6 disc CD, etc. The interior options make it nicer than most luxury sedans. It pulls a load very strongly, and has the Allison transmission that supports automatic or manual (push button on the nob) shifting. It is 4wd and is mechanically sound in all ways. It is set up for a gooseneck trailer, and has side steps, a cattle/brush guard, and rain drip things added as aftermarket. I did not clean it up for the pictures - I bought it gray so it wouldn't show dirt/dust, and it works. This truck was used for real work and has its share of scratches and rub marks in the bed, and on the side fenders, tailgate, etc. In the main, the paint and chrome are like new though, and you won't be embarrassed to pull your camper, boat or whatever with it as is. There are two cosmetic issues - one on the passenger's rear fender (see picture) and then on the inside, the sun glass holder/reading light thing clip broke and it hangs down (also see picture). The tires on it are (mostly) the original ones and are okay, but if you are going to do serious hauling with the truck, a new set would be safer. I ran the options through Kelly Blue Book and the truck comes out at $36,000+. My reserve is set at 2/3 of that. Winning bidder needs to make a $1000 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours. I will accept a certified Cashier's Check for the balance so long as we close the transaction during business hours, at my bank, where they can verify it is legit. (I had a friend who had a problem with a fake one.) Otherwise, it needs to be cash, I guess. This is a solid, low mileage truck that you will be happy with if you need this kind of vehicle. Please ask any questions, arrange to see it or whatever before the auction closes. I've bought and sold multiple cars on eBay and had good experience so far, please don't be the one who ruins that track record. Thank you for bidding On Jan-29-11 at 09:18:11 PST, seller added the following information: I just added 3 new pictures to try and show what the occasional scratches and rub marks look like. Some of these may buff out, I never tried. They mostly came from brush and limbs in pastures here and there. Also, I noticed where the badge for the trim package was - it is an SLT trim package - and like I said before, the interior has basically all the options I have ever seen on one except the sunroof. Happy Bidding! On Jan-31-11 at 06:02:50 PST, seller added the following information: Someone asked about the Gooseneck hitch - it is a B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch that was installed by Trucks Accessories in Cullman, AL shortly after purchase. I post a picture of the mounting under the bed. If you are not familiar with this set up, the main feature is that you can turn the ball mounted inside the bed upside down so that it is flush with the surface of the bed when not in use pulling a trailer. You can see the gold colored pull handle to release the ball. When you pull the handle, a bolt disengages and you just lift up the ball, turn it over and drop it back in the hole. Works pretty good and give you the full bed to work with for hauling lumber or whatever.
