Vehicle Detail

You're bidding on a 1974 MGB-GT Hatchback!! I bought this vehicle in 2005 to leave at home while living out-of-state. During this time the vehicle has been garage stored, and driven sparingly (about once a month). I am in the process of moving again, and I've come to realize it is time to pass the vehicle onto another MG family. Exterior:As you can see by the pictures, the car is very eye-catching. The bright red paint is in good condition, still very bright and clear, with some small chips and scratches. The chrome bumpers are great, and really make the car POP. The car comes with rostyle wheels, complete with MG emblem, and new tires (less than 5,000 miles). I've also recently replaced the battery (less than 100 miles). All of the glass is intact, with no chips or cracks. A new muffler was purchased and installed in 2005. Interior:Upon purchasing the car in 2005, I installed a stereo system. There is a removable oak box installed in place of the rear seat (also included). The box contains two Infiniti mid/high speakers, and two Kicker 9 inch subwoofers. The system is run off of an Audiobahn amp, and an Alpine CD/MP3 deck. The black carpet kit appeared to be new in 2005, and shows very little wear. All of the gauges are in working order, and appear to be original. The dashboard also appears to be original, and shows some signs of wear, but no major cracks. The seats have no major rips, but some slight tears around the stitching. Two seat covers are included, but I have not needed to use them (came with my original purchase). Engine and Electrical:Since purchasing the vehicle in 2005, I've had to make surprisingly few trips to the mechanic. Every year since 2005 I've taken it in for a yearly check-up/tune-up, and I've had to replace the starter once. Overall, the car is in fine working order, and I would have no qualms about taking it for a pleasant Sunday drive, or a rainy trip up the Coast. When I am in town, I commute over a slight mountain pass, and I've never had any issues climbing the hills. All of the lights and signals work as well. I believe the odometer is correct, and it reads 55,704 miles. I do not believe it has been restored, so please do not expect a new car, but for a 36 year-old car, it not only drives well, but looks good doing it! As a bonus, when I purchased the car I received a box of extra parts and MG books. These items, as well as a Car Cover, are included with purchase.
