Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a QUEEN Cadillac convertible. I have owned her for about 10 years and it is now time to pass the scepter. She is a 1963 Series 62. **What this means is it does not have the chrome accents or wood finish of the Eldorado or Coupe De Ville, but...she IS... A CUSTOM FACTORY CAR Special order from the factory. She has EVERY option available for that year, down to the custom paint, so the code on the VIN is 00. Anyone who knows classic Cadillacs knows that this code does not exist for that year, except for custom colors. SHE IS A NUMBERS MATCHING CAR. I have invested far more than I am asking for, so my loss sucks, but, it's a buyers market... Since I have had her, she has been garaged when parked and I have done the following in no particular order: 1000 miles on 4 month old engine rebuild Cooling system overhaul, radiator recored and NEW, 4 month old hoses all around. New convertible top (6 years old) with glass window, hydraulic motor, hoses and 1 month old lift cylinders. Carpeting done when I replaced the top, and 4 year old floor mats. New convertibe top latches and fixtures, WITH visors. Restored/repainted dash and dash pad... ONE minor crack in the pad (came from when work was done on the car and the pad was removed). Repainted and rechromed in 2007 (the paint was color matched to the original color paint, but was done without the metallic finish). Wide white wall radial tires. New suspesion. New shocks. New exhaust. New vacuum lines. New carburetor (Edelbrock). Updated turbo 400 transmission. New stereo bypass system that incorporates an Ipod/MP3 player. Amplifier and new speakers. This system is wired in, completely invisible and does NOT use the radio. Use any mp3 player but this will charge an Ipod while connected. *note, the speakers are installed in the stock speaker locations. There is NO additional boom box or special equipment. The amp is located discreetly in the convertible top well. The car has all operable or repairable options offered for that year: AM/FM radio (works) Cruise control (works but needs plastic switch repair) Photostatic eye (Automatic Hi beam dimmer sensor) (works) 6 point power seats (works) Power windows (works) Dash mounted clock (works) Vacuum locking trunk (works) AC (needs new compressor and some components) Power door locks (don't work) This car is a DRIVEABLE SHOWPIECE. I drive her 3 or 4 days a week, and she runs very solid. Especially since the engine was JUST rebuilt. This is an elegant and tasteful vehicle that turns heads every time she is on the road. This is not a rat rod or homeboy car. She will stand next to the trailer queens at a car show with flying colors. California car her whole life with both the black plates to prove it. MANY additional items will be included with the car (like hard to find extra parts that I have accumulated over the years in case of the need to replace). I can take and send more pictures. Just ask. I can take recent pictures of interior, engine and any details you request. Email me for more info or questions.
