I have for sale a dry climate original to San Diego 1973 Volkswagen Beetle convertible that runs and drives great and looks very nice. Very nice interior and shiny paint with assorted wear and tear. The body shows only two tiny rust bubbles in the paint at the bottom edge of passenger side to the rear of the door. The pan is rust free to the best of my knowledge looking underneath the car. The front spare compartment is rust free and includes the spare and jacking tools. The paint color is original to the car, shines well however there are assorted dings, small dents and scratches and a dent in the engine lid on the bottom right side. The chrome is shiny, however there is pitting on the tops of both bumpers. The interior shows very well, no visible wear in seats, carpet or door panels, and the steering wheel is wrapped but there are no cracks or major wear in the rim. The glass is all good and the chrome window trim is all good with some signs of aging and pitting. The top is just a few years old and looks great. The dash is very good with the exception of three cracks to the rear of the speedometer. A dash cover is in place. The headliner of the soft top is great with no tears. The engine starts right up cold or hot and runs great. The clutch engages smoothly and the transmission shifts through all the gears great. There is no engine smoke whatsoever and there are no oil drips after parking. The speedometer, gas gauge, lights, hazard lights, wipers, heater, defroster and Sony radio all work great. The windows roll up and down fine however the driver's door window sticks at times. The tires are nearly new and the car tracks nice and straight and drives well. The odometer is working and shows 50,177 at the time of listing however these older cars odometers only go up to 5 digits. Overall a pretty nice car to enjoy as this was used as a weekend beach cruiser here in San Diego, CA.
