Nice 1965 Volvo P-1800. A real survivor, California classic, Nice running 4 cylinder with a 4 speed plus overdrive transmission. Really nice for freeway cruising. The paint is very presentable but not perfect. Same with the interior. All stock inside and getting a little worn. But the nice thing is that all the parts and materials are readily available for these cars. One crack in the dash, but even those are available after market from companies like Swedish Classics (just Google it). There are also active clubs like Volvo Club of America and even P-1800 clubs that are for P drivers. This car will increase in value as the years go by and as any improvements are done. The dual carburators have been replaced with a single weber carb. If you want the stock ones I have a set. But believe me the ideal dependability is the Weber set up. There is a little detail work yet to be done under the hood, but any of the discoloration seen is surface rust only. The bottom of the car is solid as a rock. This car is very dependable. I just put brand new tires on. I also collect Studebakers (would trade for a Hawk) and just don't have the finances or time to restore this car to it's expectations. These cars are getting more and more rare! For us old guys we can remember that one of these cars was featured on the T.V. show The Saint, in the '60s. I do have it for sale locally so must reserve the right to pull from the auction if it sells. Also, although I'm very confident in the mechanical condition of the car I must sell it AS IS where is.
