Vehicle Detail

I have a 1971 Buick Skylark that i have actually never had the pleasure of driving. I bought it while serving over in Iraq in 08, and my dad drove it to his place to wait for me to come home from where i was stationed in Okinawa. It ran when we parked it, and when i got back from Okinawa, i had school in Texas for 6 months and thought i would end up in Virginia and could pick up the car. Im now stationed in California, and it is not worth it to me to get it towed from Tennessee to me. The good is that it ran when i parked it, and the body is in pretty good shape, a little surface rust, but I did not see any spots all the way rusted through.. I think it would be real easy to get it running again, but i think it should be towed from my fathers house in Nashville. It is a 455 Oldsmobile engine in it, and my plan was to try and find a 4-4-2 and put that in it, and put a buick 350 back in my skylark. It was originally an A/C Car, and it is missing the dash, but i bought a used one, and it has the AC vents in it if you decide to hook an AC up to it. The oldsmobile engine does not have AC. So the bad, it is not really that bad, but it is worth mentioning. There is some surface rust in the engine compartment, and the interior is not the greatest, the floor of the trunk has been patched with some fiberglass, and it is missing the trunk lock, A/C has been removed. I dont think it will be a show winner or anything, but it should be fun to play with. This is a project car. It is selling with a bill of sale, as is the law in Alabama. Any cars made before 1974 will be sold with a bill of sale only. The last owner had it registered until april 09, and he is still in the system, so normal procedure. Like I said, it ran at the end of 08 when we parked it, and actually my dad had to drive it about 50 miles just to get it home, so it was street worthy at the time, he just has not been running it since it has been at his house. My dad is retired, so im sure he woud be happy to show it to all who came by. This vehicle is being relisted due to the last winner didnt have the money to follow through with the sale. I reserve the right to cancel any bidders that have a feedback of 10 or less unless you email me first. I also have the car listed locally, so if it sales here, im going to cancel the auction, so bid early if you want it, and i will keep it up the entire time. 500 dollar deposit in paypal within 48 hours of auction close, and the rest in cash upon pickup, if you cannot meet these terms, dont bid. Please realise that this is a project car. Dont think that you are gonna jump in it and take off, it will take some time and money to get it road worthy again, it has been sitting for 2 years. My father is also over 60, so he is not going to be pushing it onto any trailer:) Dont buy the car if you are unable to get enough people to get it onto your trailer. Prefer you have some kind of winch to get it up there :) Thanks for looking, and please read all my description, im kinda tired of showing this to people that think it will just need an oil change to get it running.
